Why shill AMD then
Meanwhile:
I'm not shilling, but merely stating harsh factual truth of reality. Everything after Sandy is a rehash of Sandy, for more burgers. It's a scam. And Inturd is absolutely shitting itself since the Ivy days. That's why I've been sitting on 2600K since 2012 by principle. It's all over now. In October of this year I'll be building a new custom main station/system from scratch, on 16 core Zen 2. Because I upgrade only in quadruples (x4 RAM/frequency, x4 HDD/SSD spac and/or speed, x4 VRAM, x4 CPU cores/threads, at least x4 overall performance increase).
Brehs, do I buy current a gen AMD or wait for Zen 2? I'm getting 20% less FPS in my current Windows virtual machine using with a GPU passthrough. This shit is ass.
i honestly never ran cpuz when i got my 9900k so i really don't know how much its affected by these mitigation, but if the default cpuz reference is actuate, not that much of a loss. i don't know how badly other intel series are, but at least it doesn't seem like 9th gen is fucked.
still crushes the 2700x.
Depends on your finances and preferences.
If you have money to spend and you're fine with doing it, then buy Zen+ 2600~2700X right now and easily upgrade to Zen 2 later. If you don't have money right now or you don't want to do it via upgrade, then wait for October and get a full combo of X570 mobo, Zen 2, and a Navi. Or wait even further to the end of the year (December, etc) and get THREADRIPPER Mark III (officially called THIRDRIPPER inside AMD).
BUT AT WHAT COST
1. 9900 is 9700 after """""(((full mitigation)))""""".
2. You sure like to boast, Intbecile. Now apply BIOS microcode (((fix))) and shit your pants to oblivion, you cocksucking dumb milking lolcow shit.
I have an 8700k right now. I might just do it so I can get a mATX motherboard and case because I'm tired of my big ass full tower.
MicroATC and mini-ITX motherboards usually come out last in the line after the initial release of a new CPU and chipset, so you won't be able to get that for B550 or X570, but there are some X370 and 4xx mobos out there.
