hey guys, should i go into that whole rtx 2000 bullshit or get gtx 1080 or just wait for navi

Potentially? I don't really know your usecase much so I can't say. You can just wait for Threadripper 3 if you want the new hotness

If you're the user who helped me last night, I was gonna say I just hit 3466 CL14 on this board without changing anything else on the XMP

Pretty stoked about that, I couldn't even get 3200 CL14 on my last board, I used to think MSI was pretty trash tier but this board is just surprising me.

I am, good luck with the stability tests.

I'm going to throw more shit at the wall and see what sticks before I reduce tmings, I tried copying like the first 10 timings from your preset and it didn't work, however iirc E-die doesn't like changing the middle main timings too much, you usually have to keep those at like 19~ if you're going past XMP.

Will probably report back later about what I'm seeing, I might even try for 3600mhz. also OC'ing on this board is way less cumbersome than ASRock, like god damn.

I don't particularly want the new hotness. I just fear getting ripped off.
Perhaps wait for TR3, get TR2 at the new lower price, and get 128gb of ram...?

I'm going to get a 3900X for video editing, a Navi for 1440p gayman, and a B450 motherboard.

This is the true redpilled choice.

If you don't need something immediately, of course just wait

Tough to sell the bundled games; you have to sell the account and that means both games at once

The whole drive would have to be formatted as an install drive. An 8GB USB stick is like $5, you need one for a dedicated installation stick for the future

I'm trying to build a PC for gaming on 1440p and streaming on the same PC.

I was about to order Intel Core i9-9900K and RTX2080. But seeing what AMD is about to release... should I wait? Should I replace Intel Core i9-9900K with R9 3900X? Or 3800X? Will it be worth it if we're not sure about the performance yet? Plus we don't know how tricky getting good RAM for it will be.

TR2 at the lower prices should perform great, but again, I don't have much experience with sims, or anything for which 64GB of ram is not enough.
