>national socialism
>SOCIALISM
Or did you REALLY think Hitler was about free markets?

That looks like a pretty comfy room. Just need to get rid of that nazi paraphernalia

Are you saying Hitler was a leftist commie? wtf I late Hitler now!

>No, I don't wish to anger Mr. Noseberg
Good thing I pay union boss Mr. Shonzinstien to protect me from Mr. Noseberg's exploitation.

A. Hitler was an authoritarian, just like J. Stalin was.

I hope someone fucks the gayming industry into the ground.

Ah yes, the famous capitalist philosopher Adolf Hitler.

Shit poll, won't respond. A better poll would be like
>Yes and I like collective bargaining powers
>Yes but I'd rather not be
>No, don't want to anger Mr. Noseburg
>No but want to unionize
My vote on that poll would be the 4th option. Most tech jobs are exempt from unionizing here so employers are free to put us on salary positions and then demand 80+ hour work weeks for no additional pay.

Obviously, that's how we roll in Sweden. I'm about 3 week away from a month paid long vacation.

>Most tech jobs are exempt from unionizing here
This ultimately comes down to each particular state and its laws, correct?

That fucker will say anything to gain votes.

supply vs demand, econ 101

The entertainment industry is even worse, slave labor literally compete to work for free for a chance to "get recognized" and become a "star".

lol. Start your own gaming company, faggots.

>I get 3 ENTIRE weeks of vacation because I'm a union cuck :DD

Maybe you can get unlimited PTO like me because you're not a retard and picked up skills that are actually useful and in demand (distributed systems)

Attached: cantstoplaughing.jpg (2000x2000, 974K)

lol I can't believe you fell for the unlimited PTO meme. It's a way to make you work more because you don't want to be seen as a lazy employee so in the back of your mind there's always an afterthought that you may be vexing Mr. Noseberg by taking too many days off, as opposed to having a set number of days that are your unquestionable right under a contract.

>Some naysayers call into question whether this type of plan will lead to employees abusing their discretionary break time. Companies that support the policy do not believe this is the case, and they say that employees are far too concerned with damaging their reputation to take advantage of unlimited PTO. In fact, many businesses are finding that since starting to use the new policy, their employees are actually taking less time off from work than they did before

I have no sympathy, the developers sat back and allowed the industry to push digital distribution.
Paid digital distribution, which is what allows the video game industry to make $43 billion in revenue, is communist - see Karl Marx' labor theory of value.

Unionized
I see ionized, e.g. specifically I.e. radiation so fuck that fuck off kike

How would physical distribution make the lives of developers any better?

This is unironically good news. Big videogame studios push devs to their limits, pay them like shit and then do the bare minimum testing and translation work -all so they can release a yearly title.

It's gone so bad that some studios waste more money on actors and marketing than in development.

Game devs ought to win more money and games desperately need more dev time. It would benefit everyone except marketing teams.

Where is the supply and demand in charging for a download which is what allows the video game industry to be a $43 billion a year industry? A download is infinite, piracy isn't even a good deal, you are just getting it for what it is worth - $0
Piracy needs to be completely legalized. The entire concept of paid digital distribution should not exist because people should not be willing to pay for a download, luckily for the media industries there are plenty of subhuman SJWs, mentally ill, and/or brainwashed drones that pay for downloads anyways.

I never said it would, I'm just saying I have no sympathy for the reason I already stated.
That said, games made plenty of money even when they were sold physical only.
vgsales.fandom.com/wiki/Most_expensive_video_games
Top 6 most expensive games to make were sold physical only, arcade cabinets included for SF2, and the industry was doing fine and the quality was objectively higher.
All the faggots that say
>"well how are the developers going to make money if they don't receive donations for a download?"
Should be put down. The industry made plenty of money without demanding a donation for a download.Death to (((Gabe Newell)) and all other promoters of digital distribution

>unlimited PTO

yeah and I bet you have an "unlimited" data plan as well. Its just that you neglect to mention that your bosses would break your balls if you ever pass a certain limit on your PTO.

if unionization would just mean more compensation there is no reason for the employers to accept unionization. Game dev already loses talent because it pays less than fintech or valleyshit, paying more would just increase the talent pool.

Why? It's where it belongs, in the den of a basement dweller.

That sounds good in theory, but in the real world the employers can go "fuck you there are 9001 more kids wanting to work here" and cut salaries as low as possible. That's one of the reasons salaries have stagnated in the past five years despite record productivity.

>talent
Game studios don't see developers as talent, just code monkeys ready to shit out new features and squash bugs.

salaries have not stagnated, that is some bad macro analysis. if a country imports a bunch of poor people or subsidizes poverty behavior the average macro income had go flat or negative while the actual wages of real people actually working goes up.

Pretty sure that one's federal. Idk though.
