I have yet to see unresponsive scripts since tossing on uBlock. Most of the time it's because of shitty functions that have been deprecated since 2008. Flash is a big reason for a lot of those.

Unexpected shutdowns occur on smartphones for a slurry of reasons, most commonly overheating. While that occurs on PCs as well, it is far more difficult to make a PC overheat than it is a smartphone. Just a few minutes in sunlight is enough for many brands. Recent smartphones have good cooling though. Other than that, smartphones have the unfortunate downside that if for any reason your phone freezes, you cannot do shit until it thinks it can handle itself. I've had six phones, two Apples and four Androids, that essentially bricked themselves until the battery drained completely because they didn't know what to do after they froze and you could not hold down the power button to turn them off. Since the age of removable batteries has ended, that has become even more of a hindrance.

While I agree the majority of the ricers are fairly retarded, especially when they replace their icons with non-standard shit, provided the icons are identifiable anyone with a brain could tap on them and know what they are getting into. Take Firefox or Chrome for example. You don't need a label to know what they are. If you're familiar enough with the application, or the operation of your phone, you don't need to be spoonfed with redundant information. DAMS themes are hilarious and are more or less deprecated since Android and iOS have introduced their own dark themes. As for the lack of anything on the homescreen, if you've been using a smartphone for more than three minutes you will probably know that all Android phones have an app drawer you can pull up. Maybe not Apple phones.
