Places like Kinshasa are some of the most dynamic places in the world.”

that's how demographics work.
shitty living standards means having many children because most of them will die. when living standards slowly improve, more children will survive, but people will still have the "culture" of having many children. this leads to extreme population growth. after a few generations, the culture changes, partially because of better education and access to family planning services, and they finally begin to have fewer children.
this is what happened in the west during the 20th century, it's what's happening in asia right now, and it's what will hopefully happen in africa within 100 years.

It's ecologically impossible for that to be at all sustainable. There'll inevitably be some sort of natural population control mechanism which will kick in, sooner or later. We just have to hope it doesn't occur too late.

It's the same shit here in Québec. Only a couple of decades ago, nobody would have used "white" as a sort of identity of any kind. After all, *Nglos are """""white""""" and they're our greatest enemy (or at least, they were back then).
