I don't feel like doing anything today but I have lots of things to do - edition.
/éire/
I feel like the aesthetic of GAA logos, crests, jersey designs etc. would make a great art style for animation. Ireland should have more animation in general but I think the mix of Celtic design motifs, Heraldic imagery and MS-paint unironically looks class and should be expanded into an artform

I'm the same way, OP. I just want a quiet life.

The anime of S;G 0 almost certainly won't be as good as the VN, but I hope it at least makes the true ending less disappointing. I can't even remember exactly what it was that I didn't like about that ending but I remember I didn't like it.
I haven't played either of the VNs, but I loved the S;G anime. I was initially wary of 0 because it seemed like tacking on an unnecessary sequel to a series that ended definitively (like the ill-advised movie). But having recently read up on the VN a bit, its plot and setting are integrated very well into the original's world and it expands upon something that was a bit of a deux ex machina in the original.
>but I hope it at least makes the true ending less disappointing
But isn't the ending known from the start? We know exactly what Okabe will be working towards. Surely it's how he reaches that point that is interesting?
Well I suppose it's more how there were a few plot elements introduced in 0 that they never really did much with, and the final ending kind of seems to come out of nowhere.
I've seen people say that the fact that anime adaptions tend to linearise VN storylines could actually benefit the 0 anime quite a lot.
any hurling bros in here?
Gabhaigí mo leithscéal, my name is Móirín Mothlacháin.
I'm a 20 year old Japanese Hibernophile (Ireland lover for you shoneen). I draw GAA logos and crests on my tablet, and spend my days perfecting my art and watching superior Irish sports (Hurling, Gaelic football)
I train with my hurley every day, this superior weapon can cut clean through the sliotar when it is spliced over a thousand times a season, and is vastly superior to any other stick on earth. I earned my Camogie Association membership two years ago, and I have been getting better every day.
I speak Irish fluently, both Cló Gaelach and the Galway dialect, and I write fluently as well. I know everything about Irish culture and their cattle milking techniques, which I follow 100%
When I get my Irish visa, I am moving to Dublin to attend a prestigious University to learn more about their magnificent sporting culture. I hope I can become a wing-forward for Kilkenny or a corner-back for Wexford!
I own several jerseys, which I wear around town. I want to get used to wearing them before I move to Ireland, so I can fit in easier. I bow to my elders and seniors and speak Irish as often as I can, but rarely does anyone manage to respond.
Wish me luck in Éirinn!
Points for calling it a Hurley and not a Hurl.
Although I do question why somebody who wanted to be a Wexford or Kilkenny Hurler would move to Dublin.
Those Chaos;Child or Chaos;Head games any good?
>Steins:Gate Zero airs this season
I saw that listed there a week ago alright. I assume if I've just watched the original anime I can just fall straight into it without issue?
Is it a separate timeline or a proper sequel?
>I assume if I've just watched the original anime I can just fall straight into it without issue?
Make sure to watch the Divide by Zero OVA from 2015. It's basically an alternate version of episode 23 from the original series that sets up S;G 0.
>Is it a separate timeline or a proper sequel?
It's set in the Beta worldline after the events of the S;G anime. Basically it explains what would have happened from episode 23 onwards if Okabe had stayed in the Beta worldline rather than returning to the S;G worldline. Watch the OVA and you'll know exactly what I mean.
>Those Chaos;Child or Chaos;Head games any good?
I've never played them.
>watch the Divide by Zero OVA
Will do, thanks.
>the Beta worldline rather than returning to the S;G worldline
This all sounds somewhat vaguely familiar. It's been so many years since I watched it, and even then I was probably pretty new to anime and thus didn't absorb the anime to the fullest. Might be good to go back and read a summary of the whole thing.
How long ago did you watch it? You seem to have a pretty good recollection of it all.
>I've never played them
Think you need to play more things. Just a thought.

>How long ago did you watch it?
4 or 5 years ago.
>You seem to have a pretty good recollection of it all.
That's because upon learning that the anime was airing in less than 2 weeks, I've been using every free moment to re-familiarise myself with the basics of the S;G world. I'd rewatch the original anime but I just don't have the time (which I would have had if I'd learned about 0's airing date prior to the long weekend).

>been using every free moment to re-familiarise myself with the basics of the S;G world
Any good resources for doing such, or just read a wiki page?
>14 hours of combined sleep
>combined sleep
What's this?
Slept for 3 hours, then woke up, then went back to bed for another 11 hours.
>then woke up
What nefarious activities did you get up to during this period? Explain immediately.
I tried to go back to sleep, then had breakfast. I'm not sure I'd call it nefarious.
>open multipack of Taytos
>one packet is completely empty
>completely empty
Going to need proof of that user.
What kind of proof could I give other than a picture of an empty bag that you could claim was one I emptied out myself?
I noticed recently that one of the best parts of drinking is, in my opinion, the morning after. Not the hangover itself of course, but the act of getting up really early and making yourself a fry-up and then going out for a quiet walk on a nice sunny saturday morning while everyone else is in bed just feels really nice.
Not gonna lie lads, if japan made a -tan for pro choice I would vote repeal the eight; no questions asked.
>I'm not sure I'd call it nefarious
I don't think we go so far as to claim that quite yet.
First let us know what you consumed for breakfast and then maybe we can come to a decision.
>you could claim was one I emptied out myself
Well not if it was still sealed, or perhaps if the insides were especially cleanly looking.
Was there even any salt or such on the inside?
>the act of getting up really early and making yourself a fry-up and then going out for a quiet walk on a nice sunny saturday morning while everyone else is in bed just feels really nice
But can't you do that without the drinking the night before?
Also why am I responding to bait again?
>First let us know what you consumed for breakfast and then maybe we can come to a decision
A waffle.
>Was there even any salt or such on the inside?
Completely clean but there was a scent of salt and vinegar from it. There weren't any taytos spilled inside the multipack bag so it must've been a factory error. This depresses me greatly.
>A waffle
Don't think I've ever eaten a waffle. I've had potato waffles but I wouldn't be a massive fan of them and I wouldn't have one for the breakfast.
I presume there is a difference and non-potato waffles are nicer?
Do people outside Ireland even attend non-Dublin schools?
>non-potato waffles are nicer
West brit.....
Potato waffles are very popular in the UK though?
>I've had potato waffles
That's what I meant. I've never had yank waffles either.
>I wouldn't be a massive fan of them
They're basically chips though if you think about, just in a different shape.
Are non-potato waffles even popular in britland?
>They're basically chips though if you think about
I don't know desu, I guess kind of in a way but I've eaten plenty of nice chips and there is a fairly wide variety of them. Most waffles are just those frozen Birds Eye ones right? Only kind I ever ate anyways.
Do you put something on them, like you would salt or sauce with chips?
Unfortunately they do in droves.
>Do you put something on them, like you would salt or sauce with chips?
I usually put them in a sandwich with butter. If I'm having it on its own then maybe some salt but that's it.
>Taytos
ok be honest, how fucking poor are you?
Just the S;G wiki really.
love stargate sg1
>Also why am I responding to bait again?
I don't think that's bait. You're very bad at identifying bait desu.
>gif
Tragic.
>the S;G wiki
No issues with being spoiled for Zero? Guess if one sticks to the main page for the original or something similar there wouldn't be much of an issue.
>I don't think that's bait
But it makes no sense? Could do all that without the drink.
>You're very bad at identifying bait desu
You're pretty average when it comes to attempting to rile me up.
Being Alisa is suffering.
>Guess if one sticks to the main page for the original or something similar there wouldn't be much of an issue.
Yeah, just stick to the page for the original anime and any offshoot links regarding terminology and you should be fine. I'd avoid the character profiles though.
>But it makes no sense? Could do all that without the drink.
We could all do a lot of things in life, but we choose not to.
>You're pretty average when it comes to attempting to rile me up.
Aiming for above average desu.
>Being Alisa is suffering
But she causes suffering to others by cheating and being mean?
Is it a case of the bullied turning into the bully?
Just here to remind you rule 63 is NOT gay. They may have the same personality and style as their original counterpart but they have a hot chicks body and that's what your attracted to, less like liking your mate and more of having a horn for his hot sister.
She lost her mother at a young age, so allowances should be made. She just wants to be loved (much like Erika).
She didn't cheat, the radio thing was sensha-do legal. A little underhanded but she broke no rules.
Why do so few guppies have surviving grandparents?
>(much like Erika)
Stopagaí.
>we choose not to
It makes no sense though! In fact it is probably easier to do all of those things if someone doesn't have a half keg of drink in them!
>Aiming for above average desu
I'd advise against doing that, in all honesty. Not worth the effort...
Erika has a sister?
>allowances should be made
I'll have to think on it. It's quite the allowance.
>A little underhanded but she broke no rules.
Then Kay had to go and be a moralfag about it.
>Why do so few guppies have surviving grandparents?
Carbon coating can't save you from the Japanese cold.
That said, Katyusha is doing pretty well for herself in that regard.
>In fact it is probably easier to do all of those things if someone doesn't have a half keg of drink in them!
Depends if they're still drunk or hungover. If it's the former, I used to have a huge appetite when I was drunk.
>Erika has a sister?
The chart don't lie.
>I'll have to think on it. It's quite the allowance.
I only find Alisa tolerable if she's painted as a tragic character though (much like Erika).
>The chart don't lie
Is she ever pictured?
>Then Kay had to go and be a moralfag about it
Which raises the question of why Kay didn't limit the number of tanks she brought in the first place if she wanted things to be fair.
>Katyusha is doing pretty well for herself in that regard
I feel like there's some stereotype of old Russians but I can't quite remember it.
>(much like Erika)
She was a bully and now she sits alone in her poorly furnished cuckshed.
Not that I'm aware of. But that chart has been floating around for years and I'm 99% sure that it's official (although I can't seem to source it right now). I've seen Erika's older sister appear in fan art a couple of times though.
>Which raises the question of why Kay didn't limit the number of tanks she brought in the first place if she wanted things to be fair.
She didn't have massive numerical superiority to begin with though.
>now she sits alone in her poorly furnished cuckshed.
For now.
>She didn't have massive numerical superiority to begin with though
She still had more tanks going in which contradicts with her whole "fair play" thing.
>For now
That's right she still losing to Miho again to look forward to.
>That's right she still losing to Miho again to look forward to.
Everybody loses to Miho (except Darjeeling).
Bounced the gf's head off the floor again lads
Did she like it?
Yes
Can't say that I'm a fan of these proposed changes to sex education in schools. I imagine there will be some heavy agenda-pushing in whatever replaces the current curriculum.
What's going on? king paki training lads for his harem now?
While it's good to teach consent I think for the most part it's an issue that won't be solved in a classroom. As far as I'm concerned the actual rapists out there won't not do it if they were told not to do 10 years ago, everyone knows it's wrong to begin with. It just seems like people use the excuse of poor sexual education to excuse their own actions.
>people are now so stupid that kids need to be taught in school that rape is bad
I have no hope for the future of humanity. Let it all burn.
>As far as I'm concerned the actual rapists out there won't not do it if they were told not to do 10 years ago, everyone knows it's wrong to begin with
Exactly. I think it will just be used as a front to demonise men and bombard children with LGBT stuff.
always ugly or fat yolks squealing that allegedly every man is trying to rape them .....yeah sure they do.
It's just people who think rapists exist because they're not taught to, rather than some horny criminals. I seriously doubt it will lower the amount of actual rapes.
I have a feeling that this was a very productive day for all of us
Joke's on you, I accomplished nothing with my day.
>I have a feeling that this was a very productive day for all of us
You couldn't be more wrong, today more so than most.
What did you do?
Absolutely nothing
I did bully a guy IRL which I am quite ashamed of now that I think of it
And you?
>I did bully a guy IRL
How did you manage to accomplish that? Was it an accident?
>And you?
See (nothing)
>I did bully a guy IRL which I am quite ashamed of now that I think of it
>Lux was throwing himself at women
Called it.
I accomplished nothing today apart from realising yet again that all my fucking time disappears because I keep checking Jow Forums and reading pointless threads when I could be doing productive things instead. I always feel like I might miss some important news if I'm not constantly refreshing /v/ and Jow Forums. From tomorrow onwards, I shall try scheduling my day properly- do productive things during the day, and shitpost at night. I shall stimulate my intellect with books and get back into learning programming.

>How did you manage to accomplish that?
It has a complicated backstory, in short, a guy has been trying to "make a move" with a friend of mine for a while now and he is a bit of a spastic so she enjoys toying with him and we met him tonight while out and ended up making a lot of very cynical remarks towards him
Feel bad for it now
Very ambitious of you, best of luck we shall call you out if you post during the day now

What languages, are you looking for a job in that field?
I'm coming to Ireland in roughly 3 months. A local friend will show me some cool places.
However, I need to get in the mood. What are some good irish series, films, albums and books? Pic semi-related.

>What kind?
I've recently been reading Murder on the Orient Express, but I've not been reading it very often and generally only a few pages at a time. Problem is I always plan on reading just before bed but then when I actually am going to bed I'm too tired to read.
>programming
I was learning C before but I'm not sure whether to continue with that or do another language like C++. A job in that field would be good.
I've already watched it, twice, dubbed and not.
It's called "Happy Hour Policeman" in Italy.
