This thread is for the discussion of the language, culture, travel, daily life, etc. of Japan. Let's tark at randam in Japanese and English. Take it easy!
> Knitting a scarf It sounds difficult. Are you going to wear it yourself? I’m good too. Thanks. It was a day off today. I walked outdoor a little and bought cool stationery.
I am experienced at knitting! I enjoy it very much. I am knitting a scarf to send to my older brother as a surprise, he has been complaining that he is cold on his morning commute to his job. Those are fancy pens!
A man wearing a scarf sounds fashionable. You are a good sister.
I’ll use these pens on my work. I often visit stationery stores to test new pens because I want pens which might improve my handwritings since I do paperwork quite a lot on my job and some of them go outside my company and get exposed to eyes of customers, etc.
Hey! Does anybody here work or study in the medical field. What would be a good source for japanese medical research? I tried digging around a bit and found something, but i'd appreciate tips.
Maybe the other Swedish poster secretly enjoys knitting too...
>You are a good sister Thank you! I hope he will not be embarrassed to tell his co-workers his little sister made his scarf. It is a simple long scarf but I hope it will keep him warm.
Good pens are important if you write for your company, it is wise to practice your handwriting with good pens.
I met a Dutch guy who's doing cancer research in Japan. He said that animal experiment laws are way laxer than in Europe, which is why a lot of groundbreaking research in that field is performed in Japan.

I like pencils a little more than pens. Pencil is a great invention and the simplicity is awesome.
But you can draw darker and clearer lines by pens. So I prefer to use pens when I take notes.
