We were basically on the german side until mid 43
Way more soldiers served on the German side than the allied. Even Danish SS soldiers outnumbered allied Danish soldiers.
If it wasn't for the Jewish escape, the resistance movement and the Danish sailors i don't think we would've been considered part of the allies.

they become symbols of things and when the historical truth is nuanced it is ignored to create a narrative
people like a story and a figure, they don't care about the person

German tanks had excellent offroad capabilities

The Tigers were excellent tanks in general though excessively fuel-hungry given Germany's meager resources. They had major reliability problems because they were rushed into production before adequate testing was completed, same story with a lot of German weapons
