I'm not burger, but I would call this handsome Omelette du Fromage
He one of the Euros that fought for us in the Revolution?
There was like 20+ relevant ones.
We have a lot of important figures to remember in American history.
Only foreigner i remember learning during revolution period, aside from Cornwallis and King George, was Friedrich Wilhelm Ludolf Gerhard Augusti, he's objectively the most important because he turned colonial army into a professional army.
Pepe Le Pew
Lafayette

What?
US history books cover US War of Independence in this manner:
Lexington and Concord
Battle of Boston
Battle of New York
Fort Sumter
Southern Campaign (barely)
Northern Campaign (barely)
Yorktown (only reference to french help is here)
Only people that are mentioned by name: Cornwallis, Washington, John Adams, Paul Revere, Benjamin Franklin, King George III, and the kraut. Some states probably add a few randoms here and there. I know Michigan, I think that's the state, mentions some Pole that was father of American cavalry.
I should probably add that the actual war isn't really covered in all that much detail in US history classes. Only about as much as Korea. The revolutionary period is focused on heavily though.
But WW2, Civil War, and Vietnam War all get more coverage by a fair margin.
Revolutionary War might be a chapter in a Unit, if that makes sense.
While Civil War usually gets one unit to herself, WW2 usually gets 2 units (maybe 3 in some cases), Vietnam gets like 2-3 chapters. Cold War gets the most though (~4+ units)
Average US history book is around 22 units, each unit being 4-6 chapters. Each chapter being around 5-10 modules.
>His school didn't talk about Lafayette
Napoleon, obviously.
that's kinda fucked up m8 no offence.
Where do you live ?
My state is kinda autistic about early America and focuses on stuff that happened in the state :)
Illinois. You?
Virginia, hence all the Americans that I stated were from their. And Cornwallis was stationed in this state
That's odd, I would've thought Virginian education to be better than that.
East coast states are autistic and try to spin history to make them seem the best.
I explicitly remember learning that Norfolk was the most important naval base in America during WW2.
It also claims that Roanoke colony was in Virginia, (it was actually in North Carolina)
Funny thing is is that it's not even necessary, considering Virginia has some of the greatest history in the entire country. But they still do it for some reason.
I honestly assumed other states did it as well
literally balkan tier
generic late 1700s dude
Ahh, yeah
Marquis de Lafayette to George Washington, 22 July 1783
>I must again tell you how happy you made your friend by your letters enclosing the proceedings of the army. In every instance, My dear General, I have the satisfaction to love and to admire you. The conduct you had on that occasion was highly praised throughout all Europe, and your returning to a private station is called the finishing stroke to an unparalleled character. Never did a man exist who so honorably stood in the opinions of mankind, and your name, if possible, will become still greater in posterity. Everything that is Great, and everything that is Good were not hitherto united in one man. Never did one man live whom the soldier, statesman, patriot, and philosopher could equally admire, and never was a Revolution brought about, that in its motives, its conduct, and its consequences could so well immortalize its Glorious Chief. I am proud of you, My dear General, your Glory makes me feel as if it was my own—and while the world is gaping at you, I am pleased to think, and to tell, the qualities of your heart do render you still more valuable than anything you have done.
Why do retards on this board not seen to grasp that American education is incredibly decentralized and that just because their shit state has a shit curriculum, doesn't mean that the other 49 do? Forget history, you people need to be taught basic civics.
Actually, my memory just seems to be mistaken.
I was just looking at requirements for curriculum in my state. Lafayette is on it.
I just forgot. My bad :/
