I got my cabin (pic related) for 9k and that was newly renovated.
The most expensive part is heating all winter.
Cost of living for me is around 900 dollars per month I would say. We do have property tax etc but it's not that bad.
No one really wants to live in the north so things are cheap.

A lot of houses are sold privately and through auctions but yes there is a couple websites (just google "homes - Norrland" or something).
About jobs, there is a lot of jobs but some can be hard to get. The majority of work up here is forestry, mining and iron mills etc. Also tourism is huge.
