Would you ever want to live in rural England?
Would you ever want to live in rural England?
ooh arr

Transportation is so much better in England (compared to North America) that, even if you live in the bumfuck middle of nowhere, you're still never more than an hour away from a medium sized city if you have a car (and often much less than an hour).
And if you live in a small town (or a village which happens to have a train station), then you often don't even need a car for your commute, and it's still MUCH better than commuting in North America.
So, basically, yes. There are quite literally no downsides compared to life in North America. Moreover, I'm actually a Britbong citizen, i.e. I'm technically eligible for a British passport if I ever get around to filing the endless paperwork for it.
no point after brexit
That depends. How are the sermons?
Absolutely. Rural England is probably one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
if the japs are honorary aryan, you can be honorary anglo maybe
>Moreover, I'm actually a Britbong citizen
how? This is very interesting
good crack
Yeah.
But I'd still feel like I'm being limited, specifically with firearms and taxes.
Past that, it doesn't sound awful, no.
>how?
By descent. My mother is a British-born citizen, and by British law that makes me a British citizen as well (though obviously with no proof of any kind until I apply for a passport, which supposedly is quite a hassle and surprisingly expensive for people in my category).
Stfu I'll invade you without your permission
you can still own a gun, you just can't go round with machine guns and shit
do you think you'll ever move here?
can't do any worse than our current government t b h
my mum isn't bothering getting ancestry citizenship because of brexit so i wont be able to get it from her

Are old rural people welcoming?
Are poopskins slowly starting to invade the rural areas like they are here?
>do you think you'll ever move here?
I think I'd like to, but I doubt it'll ever happen. I have almost no contacts of any kind in the UK (or at least, not close ones), and starting a new life on a whole new continent is just too monumental a challenge for me to undertake. But if for some odd reason I got an interesting job offer or something like that, then I think I would give it a shot.
Underrated. British public transport and density makes living in rural areas easier.
BUT U SPEAK ENGRISH IT WILL VEE EAZYYY
If the climate is always nice.
I'm already moving to England in June.
Yes I'm anglo
immigration from Australia will be easier after brexit
mixed bag, some old people are grumpy fuckers, many of them are absolutely lovely
not that I've seen in my area
fair enough, moving countries permanently is something I don't see myself ever doing
it's not, pic related is around the best the weather will get most of the time
congratulations! Where are you moving?
REKT ROOK AT THIS ANSWEBOT
Absolutely 100% i would
Shut the fuck up.
don't be mean! I just like to answer people's questions TT_TT
begone southron, this is a paki free thread
Anything outside the M25 should burn.
Fuck yes.
But you need a few million to make it work.
Maybe when Commissioner Corbyn is done building commie blocks he can break up family farms and I can buy a plot.
your parent needs to be born in the UK
if your mum was born in australia you aren't eligible
That's not true. If anons grandparent hails from this island, his Mum qualifies, then when she's through the door he does by default.
Pay for her to do it, and tell her to stop watching the (((news)))
Mi casa es su casa
tbcaphh there is some pretty nice council housing about
>mum
do Canadians say this instead of mom?
I already do
its complicated because she was South Africa and her mum was anglo East African
yeah but it means you can't go to Europe for free with it as well and i wouldn't want to only live in England long term for, ah, economic reasons
>and i wouldn't want to only live in England long term for, ah, economic reasons
>Believing the EU Jews lies
Come on you guys have way lower wages and a slightly lower cost of living. Plus I'd want to live in a big city if i went there.
>Come on you guys have way lower wages
Than who?
>and a slightly lower cost of living
HAHA WHAT
I fucking wish lad.
smol trains are the ultimate kino
tell me more about lancaster Pennsylvania, is it anglo in culture?
doubt it will have a tangible effect
I only want to live in teletubi land
i dont even think he could get a passport if his mother was born in the UK
i spell it mum because of my parents but say mom
you can actually live in a children's tv program in scotland
>i spell it mum because of my parents but say mom
strange
No, the weather sucks, rainy, cold but no snow, lack of forests and wilderness.
>tfw spell it mom but say "mum"
thanks, southern accent
yes. anything but russia. I would even speak like a pirate
don't know why anglo speak like pirates but if it's mandatory I'm ok with it
>No, the weather sucks, rainy,
fair enough
>cold but no snow,
we get snow
> lack of forests and wilderness.
we have both of those
>don't know why anglo speak like pirates but if it's mandatory I'm ok with it
The 'pirate accent' is basically just a West-Country accent.
I want to, but I don't think it's right to. As beautiful your countryside is, it's yours. I don't want to tarnish it since I'm a ponce.
Looks nice. Do they have the hill house as well?
I once heard Scottish guy speak on voice chat when played world of warcraft and he sounded like toothless pirate who drank rum since the day he was born
could not understand a single word
Bulgaria unironically seems very comfy though. Shame that the wages are probably really low though.
looks comfy
Looks like Germany with shittier weather
So no
Depends on where you're in, to be honest. There are nice places around my region, since I live on the coast, but I'm not so sure inland.
As for the wages have been rising in the recent years, but they're just enough to live okay for most people. Still, they're low when compared to a central European country (e.g. Austria).
I think it's the programmers that have the highest wages here, and they earn enough to live a very comfy life, but I'm not a programmer.
>with shittier weather
Having been to Germany myself, you can shove this shitty meme up your arse.
German weather is just as shit.

Is it possible to live very frugally there and invest in the euro stock market?
Not in the south m8
lets buy a house in the country together desu
That's not rural living mate. Village or not. I want to be at least 500m from the pub. Land would be sweet too. Need at least an acre.
Of course he could. If your parent is British, you are, too. It just comes down to registering it with the passport office. Grandparent tier: You still can get an ancestary visa.. Which buys you enough time to get sponsored on a work visa, or find a waifu to get citizenship.
>Would you ever want to live in [...] England?
no
>Village or not. I want to be at least 500m from the pub.
If you'd ever actually lived in a village, you'd know you're never more than about 200ft from a pub.
It would be really comfy if not for the proximity to the road.
This one looks extremely nice, tho.
I don't think you'd be able to make much a dent in the stocks with the local wages, but you could certainly live frugally. Income taxes are low compared to other Balkan countries, so you get to keep most of the money you make.
That would be nice! The fresh country air, a house we'd both share... and you!
well yeah you wont find commiehousing in the country
>middle earth flag
that's cheating desu
I grew up in a village, but it was big by village standards I guess.
Honestly that was more urban than I'd wish for. And we just sold it for £1.5m, sooooo not going to happen in this lifetime of neetdom.-
Yes, I'd love to live in the English countryside, no, it's not going to happen ;__;
>neetdom.-
Holy shit, I didn't mean to sound Argie wtf
I love the idea of rural England. A pastoral idyll. Not sure I'd be welcome though.
cute
tell me abount bongland, i want to move to either the scottish highlands or somewhere in the countryside. what is your fishing like there? do you have nice trout streams? can i hunt? can i rear livestock? do you have catholic churches i can attend?
You would though. We're far too welcoming for our own good, that's the point. Indians are A-OK here.
Serious question: Why is India so racist that they only give nationality to people who had Grandparents from India? Don''t you faggots realise it's 2018?
I really want a little plot of land in the rural countryside to build my dream house, but the fact is that Brazil has no shortage of rotting and decrepit historic estates that no one cares for or even really know about. I really fear that my house would just become another one of those; building in a city seems the best way to make sure that it'll continue to be inhabited and thus conserved.
But cities of all sizes also have a problem with crumbling historical buildings, so muh dream is probably fucked either way.
India is just backward in general. I hate it here.
You didn't (You) me, but yeah, if you're fucking loaded, crack on.
The countryside only still exists here because of rich landlords (barons desu) -- if we were left to our own devices, deer, salmon and trout would go the same way as the dodo.
There's a big empasis on "country life" but you need a few million quid minimum to play at that table.
I'm a CHI. May I go visit you? I'm interested in your countryside, cars, and dipping my beak into some of your slags.
Well, I was sort of trolling.
I wish we were stricter with our requirements.
There was a story this week of a would-be French citizen getting refused the nationality because she refused to shake the hand of the person awarding it. No such thing in Britain! There REALLY should be.
I've met loads of cool Indians and Pakis here. You're welcome, but there's just too many of you I think. Don't listen to Jow Forums though, you wouldn't get discriminated against here, unless you went onto a really dodgy white council estate in a very "diverse" (read: segregated) area.
sorry i deprived you of a (You). do you all have a need for mechanical engineers over in England? i promise to vote UKIP or BNP. i will also promise to tell everyone "its coming home" every four years.
No. I wouldn't want to live in rural anywhere.
Than any of the same jobs in Australia, also we have skandi tier living costs. I live in a city of 100k and a pint at the pub is similar to London.
No offence but apart from transport, history and all the villages and shit the Uk is a worse version of Australia
does brazil have the infrastructure to support living on a rural estate like that? the amazonized areas of brazil kind of scare be desu :0
>No. I wouldn't want to live in rural anywhere.
Brazil has a large midwest
>what is your fishing like there?
idk, it's proabbly alright a lot of people fish
>can i hunt?
yeah, but only with rifles and not all those massive guns you have over there
>can i rear livestock?
farms would be relatively cheap now, the problem is that they would be a massive money drain, small farms just aren't profitable
>do you have catholic churches i can attend?
I used to go to a big catholic church with my grandparents in a large town, never seen any small non-CofE churches in the country though
t. Tarquin DeBandicot Smithson
not all the countryside is like this, just the posh spots, most of it is cheaper than a city
>There was a story this week of a would-be French citizen getting refused the nationality because she refused to shake the hand of the person awarding it.
lmao based, rude cunts shouldn't be allowed in
If you aint voting comrade Corbz then you can stay there
that's fair enough
>unironically wanting to be a peasant
Moving there from a loud, busy, and bustling city is a pretty nice thing, to do, though? There's a reason why people move to the rural parts of their countries, and it isn't just the fresh air.
I wouldn't know, I live in a pretty good part of Prague.
How's Cornwall? My dad's family lived there until they came to America in the late 1800s.
I'm from the very poshest part though user.
I'm better off trying to fit into a foreign country than the North/West Country/Wales/Scotland. I sound like a fucking BBC reporter from the 70s.
Oh we have a ton of historic rural estates like that, our version of your southern plantations, but with our farms being in the middle of nowhere. Nowadays tons of these have been turned into hotels or museums, but a lot have also been completely forgotten about because they're in the middle of nowhere, like 50km from the nearest city center. So they really are sometimes literally forgotten about.
And as for the Indians, they aren't a problem. There are conflicts between natives and rich landowners increasing their lands and encroaching on the reservations, but usually there'll only be protests and sit-ins, not actual conflict. And for the uncontacted and isolationist tribes, no one really lives in those parts of the Amazon. There are semi-frequent firefights and kidnappings and such between feuding farmers, but the Indians are harmless.
ya'r oreet whiteboy
Oh god yes
but isn't Sweden meant to be like top 3 best countries to live in with 10/10 landscape and everything?
the livestock would be just for homesteading, nothing like a farm operation. shame about the churches, does Scotland have more Catholic churches? also im not voting corbyn.
could you get water/electricity service if you paid for it at one of these rural estates?
citylets, when will they learn?
Safe
Trying to place that accent.. A cider drinker perhaps?
>the livestock would be just for homesteading, nothing like a farm operation.
gonna be expensive
> does Scotland have more Catholic churches?
same thing, in the cities
>also im not voting corbyn.
I will personally find you and put you in the NHS gulag run by JME
