やっぱり抜群にカッコいいね
>日本語: Uボート
>ドイツ語: U-Boot
>英語: U-boat

|д゚)チラッ

英語にはむしろsubmarineという言葉を使われているんだと思う

ああ、あれは映画のUボートの英語のタイトルだから U-boatになってる
普通の英語訳だと確かにsubmarineだね

原作では Das Boot
調べてみたらDas はドイツ語の定冠詞らしい
男性名詞・女性名詞・中性名詞があって縮約形もあるらしい
本格的にドイツ語を勉強したら、冠詞だけで死ねるw

Attached: キャプチャ.png (537x456, 27K)

>縮約形もあるらしい

an dem -> amやin das -> insのことか

Any idea what 無意味なヒキ mean?
Also, I have no idea why ヒヤッとした is used here.

Attached: drv3.png (1174x264, 95K)

my ger-jap translation says ヒキ can also mean something like luck (in a game/lottery etc.)
ヒヤッとした probably he felt a sudden chill (according to jisho)

>ドイツ語のカテキョにでもつこっかな
どこで?
ついにギリシャを脱出する?w

今から考えると、英語が世界中に広まったのは習得のしやすさもあるんだろうな
頭が悪いとドイツ語を一から覚えるのは絶対無理

shobunsha.co.jp/?page_id=1961
次回を期待させる演出 = 引き = ヒキ
「引き」はすごかったのに、実際に「次回」を見ると、期待外れでがっかりすることが多い

>どこで?
まぁ普通に近所でな
歩いて数分のところにはネイティブのやつがいるらしい

>sudden chill
I saw jisho's entry but it doesn't make sense in this sentence. Do people feel sudden chills when they are wondering if they botched something or not? (Not me but dunno about others)

I'll take some time to digest this, Thanks!

>Do people feel sudden chills when they are wondering if they botched something or not?
Yes. It's like 血の気が引く.

わかったよ2020年にはお邪魔させてもらうかも

日本に来るんかいwww
でもまあ、そんだけ日本語を喋れたら日本でも何不自由なく暮らせるだろうし、時期が来たら日本に来いw

I'm doing AJATT done with RTK, save for reviews (50% mature), and done with Tae Kim. I have ~350 sentences cards in my deck, but I don't know where to mine really. Would a light novel like no game no life be too hard?

Also should I be reading my sentence cards aloud when repping?

I guess that makes sense. Thanks.

Hello,
real Japanese and English teachers.

In 2014 I imported a Santoku knife from Japan and still very happy with it.

Can you tell me what is written on it?

honest question, should we try to merge with the japanese thread?

Attached: 1506791684830.jpg (768x364, 106K)

is there a way to set up anki so that it picks new cards from a subset of cards with a particular tag instead of the whole deck?

What would that entail?

not much per se, but I think it would take some dedication to make the guide stick to their OP and maybe rewrite some things here and there to customize it a bit to adress japanese learners, depending on the resistance it could be very easy or close to impossible
and of course the few people here to stick with it instead of splitting the community even more

at the very least I want them to include the guide in the OP I guess

The guide is usually there from what I've seen? I think just from a thread culture perspective, the /jp/ one is beyond salvaging. There are 3-4 people there that incessantly shit it up every single day with the exact same arguments and the rest of the thread is more than happy to get involved in it. Though, to be honest, that's kind of an advantage because the people that actually give a shit about learning are so starved for legit questions that anything you ask usually gets answered pretty quick if you don't mind ignoring the shitposting responses.

I meant the 日本語スレッド

Oh ok, ignore me then, misunderstood.

This thread is for the discussion of the language, culture, travel, daily life, etc. of Japan and a place for those studying the Japanese language.
Let's tark at randam in Japanese and English. Take it easy!

I guess it could look like this

>(Daily) Japanese Thread / 日本語スレッド / DJT
and this as subject

I think their chatter would drown out our (well, sometimes) on-point discussion about the language itself. But it's worth a try, I guess?

Easier to just filter out those tags and create a new deck, I think. What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

Attached: nuclear_spiders.jpg (182x276, 13K)

>I think their chatter would drown out our (well, sometimes) on-point discussion about the language itself.
depends on the time of the day. without the elevens it's pretty slow lately, or at least as far as I could see

I think the actual japanese would actually embrace it, but I'm worried about some of those spastics there, the autism of some of them really knows no boundaries

bump

>mind haze at 100% max capacity
>get blessed by my words of the day being family members

Thank fuck. I really need to figure out why I'm so tired and hazy all the time. I slept plenty last night, am exercising regularly, eating alright. FUCK. Gonna get my blood tested, maybe my testosterone has gone down in the past few years since I tested it last time.

Also, bump

Try learning how to read and speak before writing. I doubt few Japanese would expect a foreigner to write shit down for them.

Unless you've got someone with who you can converse, you have to learn the language passively (reading and listening). So it's either watching 1000 subbed animus or gritting through enough kanji to learn by reading instead.

Reminder to do your reps user

I'm studying from Tae Kim's book and I want to review words using the Core2k deck because the cards are really well made.
I'll try tagging words as I find them in the book and use a filtered deck to review them.

lol at her struggling to read 袖 in that video. Not even Japanese people can learn Japanese.

Here's another one who can't into kanji either:
youtube.com/watch?v=7FhTCGsiOX0
youtube.com/watch?v=EbjY7zuIado

Context is 國見 asked to touch 彩音's chest and she let him but then felt weird about it for a while later. He then apologizes and she starts talking about how she was harboring some illusions about him since her love was previously unrequited but she realizes that he's a guy after all.

So my question is what's with everything past 見たり in the second line? I can't wrap my head around what she's trying to say. As well as who she's talking about in the third line. Is it both of them or just him?

Attached: エッチ.png (867x620, 574K)

Wait never mind I think I got it. She means he doesn't have an interest in エッチな目で見たり、下品な噂をする and he pays attention to other ところs instead. Fucking hell I glossed over the last て in the first line and didn't realize it was all just a continuation of her impression of him.

Anyhow, don't die on me again.

Dunno been trying to post there past few days and it's not the same.

I was doing great with this until Mr. Hiragana Salad showed up. The only part I can make sense of is 使い得倍 and maybe 農 in the first line of the first bubble? Is this dialect heavy? What kanji are being used?

Step 1: Search the words you want to study from the deck using the Browse option
Step 2: Add a tag to each word you want to study
Step 3: Go to the deck and find "Custom Study". Choose the "Limit to Particular Tags"
Step 4: "Include" the tag you placed on the new words you've added. (Optional) "Exclude" other tags

we had this exact passage here a few months ago I think
even some japanese guy said it's barely understandable, so no worries

>Tokyoite teacher and Osakan teacher start arguing over trying to explain the difference between the pitch accents in 雨 and 飴
>僕の顔いつ

Attached: i understand now.png (510x346, 209K)

Every language has homophones, the pitch accent is a meme.

they kept talking about how it's different in standard Japanese and in Osakaben, but whenever they used it in a sentence I couldn't hear it at all. they just kept screaming AME at each other for a good minute

is there a keystroke to switch between 片仮名 and
平仮名. also why is 片仮名 kanji in the windows language pack but not 平仮名. I'm getting a whole bunch of fucked autocompletes with mixed up kanji.
