Also he is Trump's "best friend" because he wants to make him change his mind on many subjects, the other european leaders hate trump so much that they are opposed to him so he just keeps doing what he wants because it's not like europe could put pressure on the usa. Macron also clearly said during the press conference and at many times that he was against many of trump's policies.
