because american food in general is of a poor standard because the industry is so poorly regulated. in europe were protected by so many regulations that mean stuff like eggs are safe to eat raw, even unpasteurised dairy products (banned in america) are safe

Why am I a vegan? Because it's simple. Just because meat is available doesn't mean it's necessary, and my diet works for me.

You are describing a caricature of consumer society, you aren't necessarily being sold huge things no why would you be ? This isn't at all how it works. Look at apple products.
You aren't sold cheap things either, many products have a policy of making their products as needlessly expensive as possible such as fashion for example, it is a strategy to sell to upper classes. Etc.

As far as i know scientists have always said man during prehistory was omnivorous not vegetarian as seen by our teeth, if you deliberately twist this around i don't think you're any better than Christian flat earth creationists or whatever.
