Back home Zhang.

Isn't Xi Jinping leader for life? what's the difference?
If for whatever reason Xi Jinping loses his grip on the CCP, they can simply decide to kick him out and put another guy in and restore limits.
Probably 30% of the population can claim to be of royal descent since there were too many dynasties, so who become emperor?
None. Japan ruined every chance. As the monarchy is nothing more than a tool of foreign interests.
That’s literally how China always functioned.
Not exactly. Emperors may occasionally be removed but the instituion continues. With the current CCP, Xi Jinping's power grab may be more of an exception rather than a tradition. Remember that contemporary PRC does not operate on a mandate conferred to a singular person, but rather on the role of the CCP as the leading authority in the land. Xi Jinping's role is still technically that of a "first among equals".
Well yeah. Modern China is basically a giant Zaibatsu corporation. If the results don’t pan out the CEO gets the boot. But the corporation has almost guaranteed good results since it is still early growth.
Kind of like 1980 South Korea.
Why do you want an emperor? Imagine being ruled by a family. Truly a cuckold mentality.
isn't it just impossible as long as they say they're a communist party?
Chuckled
Just imagine China developed to even a half of Korea/Japan level.
>3 times US GDP
Damn... will be interesting.
???
The 20s and 30s are going to be exciting
Xi Jinping getting rid of term limits is sort of setting up something like that.
It's interesting to draw comparisons between Chinese philosophical schools and western ideologies. Confucianism (Confucius, Mencius) basically justifies monarchism. Legalism (Han Fei Tzu) basically promotes fascism. Mohism (Mo Tzu) is basically Marxist/socialist. Taoism (Lao Tzu, Chuang Tzu) is basically anarchistic. I'm trying to think of what fits with Zen Buddhism, but I'm not coming up with anything. Primitivism?
Dude Weedism
China's current and projected growth rates are lower than they were in 2011.
lmao
He'd have to have many many wives and many many sons before he could set up anything close to an imperial lineage.
What's is Japan's chance?

Theocracy.
No. You could certainly say theocracy for Tibetan Buddhism, but I don't really see that for Zen.
What is your point? You think these Federal Reserve researchers didn’t know that?
You people seriously surprise me with your ignorance every day. Do you really believe everyone is less intelligent than you and cannot possibly get things right?
