Will India ever gobbled up into someone's sphere of influence, or is it strong enough to remain its own thing indefinitely?

It used to be in Persia's sphere of influence when the Delhi Sultanate ruled the subcontinent, with the exception of the southernmost tip of India.
Wasn't India not a single country back then?
At its peak, the Mughal Empire more or less contained all of India except for a few areas in the South. And the Mughal administration was very much Persian influenced. Persian was the official administrative language. There were famous Indian poets who used to write Persian literature, like Mirza Ghalib.
I had no idea about this, I thought India was just a bunch of little countries the British turned into a single colony because it was easier.
when the british arrived it was. no empire lasts forever
Well, by the time the Company had arrived, it had become so, due to the decline of the Mughal empire. Many of the provinces of the empire had become semi-independent under the governors assigned there. Like Bengal and Hyderabad. Also the empire had a hard time keeping up with the rise of another pan-Indian empire, the Maratha empire.
Neat, thank you. Indian history is barely mentioned in US history classes. Mostly it's just the invention of Buddhism, nothing, and then Gandhi.
The Tamil master race won't ever be Indians... Indian army and Sinhalese army had to join hands to stop the ltte ( comprised mainly of peasants and untrained civilians... Led by the alphaest man who ever lived ).
To be honest, I like reading about history of countries that are barely mentioned in history textbooks like India and the Mughal Empire, Mali and The Songhai or Egypt and their Muhammad Ali expeditions(Egyptian imperialism is even barely mentioned in non-middle eastern history textbooks)
daily reminder if david the builder, the king of georgia didn't win the didgori war whole europe would've been BLACKED
I also like reading about history, but for me it's ancient European/European-related history like Carthage and the pre-Islamic Persian Empire.
tell me more
>yfw India will have the largest Muslim populace of the world in your lifetime but even then, they will remain a minority within India
Would say it is possible that they remain in its current form, but there will be a lot of work to do to keep it as it is
>ancient European
I don't think there's a lot of ancient European history though, with the exception of the balkans.
You have all of Ancient Greece and Rome, plus Egypt if you count is as European-related due to being controlled by Rome toward the end. Unfortunately there's almost nothing available about the Celts pre-Christianity, which disappointed me.
The Tamils have a proud history dating further back than any Sanskrit or Indic languages. We are a tight ethnic group who value our language higher than even our lives. We vehemently opposed Hindi ( the most spoken language of India) when the then prime minster Nehru tried to force us to learn it. So to this day, a tamil cannot communicate with other Indians in Hindi, we prefer learning English to Hindi.
The tamil emperor Raja Raja Chozhan the great once conquered much of south asia from sri lanka to thailand to Philippines. We were great at sailing , as a matter of fact the word navy is a derivative of the tamil word naavai, which directly translates to the mouth of the water , denoting a harbour or port. Anyways once we conquered sri lanka we had people settling there. As time progressed , the majority Sinhalese started gaining strength and slowly started dominating us. In the 20th century this turned into raping and pillaging of tamil villages by the Sinhalese army. This eventually turned into full blown genocide of tamils.
After peaceful talks failed to materilise, our great leader velupillai prabhakaran took up arms to fight the Sinhalese army. He was a honorable man , never attacking Sinhalese civilians but only the army. At one point in time he became so powerful 5hat his org the LTTE had a separate air force and naval force. Indian motherfuckers sent the so called peace corps into sri lanka , took away our guns promising peace , then went ahead to massacre us with the Sinhalese. In the final stages of war almost two million Tamils were killed.
One a lighter note, we have superior music too.
BASED.
This is so rare, I’ve never seen a Tamil in Jow Forums, I myself am the son of diaspora SL Tamils.
What he is telling you is just one side of the opinion
The history part is completely true however the LTTE was nothing but wannabe freedom fighters who turned terrorists
Oh I agree the fight started as you described, but then the ltte, for whatever idealistic purposes they started with, ended up being bombing others and using their own people as shields. And as much as i like the tamil, i dont hide from the fact that the ltte killed innocent people as well.
You're just playing armchair general for a separarist movement just like the sikhs whine about kalisthan from the comfort of canada
This map is retarded as fuck
Most of Africa is in Ameirca's sphere of influence, with the exception of Sudan, Libya, Algeria, Zimbabwe and one or two others.
Vietnam is not even remotely in China's sphere of influence, by Cambodia is.
Thailand, Haiti, Montenegro, Jordan, Oman, Kuwait, and Malaysia are all in America's sphere of influence.
Bolivia, Nicaragua, and Ecuador are in Russia's sphere of influence.
India has her own sphere of influence, these being Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Bhutan.
Also Pakistan is NOT in China's sphere of influence.
Oh yeah. By that standards , Netaji and Bose were terrorists and separatists too. Freedom struggle requires sacrifices, and these sacrifices were not forced. People wanted to make these sacrifices for their nation and for Tamil.
As the saying goes... Udal mannuku uyir tamizhuku. ( Let my body be taken by the land, let my life be sacrificed for tamil )
>Also Pakistan is NOT in China's sphere of influence.
It is
Also Morocco is in the French sphere of influence and hence in the American sphere of influence. Algeria is in the Russian sphere of influence because they decided to troll us.
>Also Pakistan is NOT in China's sphere of influence.
t. either Said Umair Khan or out-of-touch boomer
>Bolivia, Nicaragua, and Ecuador are in Russia's sphere of influence.
Always nice to meet a Tamil on Jow Forums. I am from mainland Tamil Nadu.
Even the Tamil deities are alpha af, compared to the feminine northern/Aryan gods.
>Thailand, Haiti, Montenegro, Jordan, Oman, Kuwait, and Malaysia are all in America's sphere of influence.
Jordan maybe, but the others I've never heard anyone claim.
China influences on Thai but not much, while views are literally south chinks but with even more butthurt against CCP
Add flips in to Chinese influence because duterte is a cuck that wishes to sell Philippines to China
India is currently not even having enough influence on its own to rule the cunt correctly else it will be a mystery why they never catch up with China when they've never lost manpower and got aid from west at 40s
They're still allowing each region to rule by themselves and that's why there's some Indian places where they go full pro china (Manipur) while India is still unable to control people with different beliefs they started splitting themselves back then
Pretty fucked desu
They refused to be brutal unlike uncivilized whi*Toids.
Isn't it just Duterte who is so pro-China?
