There is cool stuff to see here but it's kind of sprawled all over the country. Fortresses, museums, the nature itself, nice spas and mountain resorts (but nowhere near Slovenian or Italian tier).

Ultimately, a lot of people come for the nightlifte, and you must be an incredibly autistic faggot and not find something that suits your needs as far as clubs go and what music played there.

However, some things you might find underwhelming. A lot of the architecture tends to be commie blocks, while city centers usually comprise of older and objectively better looking buildings. The greyness of Belgrade kind of puts people of or gives it a charm, at least that's what foreigners I know said.

That's actually a good question, and I don't know what to tell you honestly. Any big name club will be packed, that's 100%, taverns also have plenty of people, or some fancier cafes especially if there is some live music.

Bare in mind that you can see plenty of westerners (specifically Brits and the Dutch) along with some ex-yu people coming here. Heck, the city center almost always has a tourist bus with some foreign plates, usually Greek, Bulgarian, Romanian. I suppose westerns just take the plane.

So it is somewhat underrated, though I think it lack the natural beauty that Croatia, Greece or Slovenia have for example, and their cities with exception of Novi Sad are very gray and not appealing at all. Serbian out of town real estate is hyper cheap. I own 7 undeveloped plots of land about 1 hour outside of Belgrade.

Things to consider:
Electricity. You will have to bribe EPS (Elektro privreda Srbije, national electric/powerplant company) to install electricity for you. They have a monopoly on that. You gotta go to them for electricity.
Water. Serbian water smells funny. And in the villages, those waters arent even covered by Belgrade territory, so their purification is awful and not for human consumption, only good for agriculture.

Im a construction worker and I could develop the buildings for you lol, what you said could work, you would definitely be in the upper income class, just remember to buy bottled water if you move in the undeveloped zones outside of urban sprawls.

I use my land plots mainly for metal workshops and hobby gardening but I live in the Belgrade urbanized area because living there is easier, cops, hospitals, water, groceries, schools etc etc are all 10 minutes away.

Its good you are familiar with the bribes, because you will require a "special construction licence" (seriously its just a bribe, just a sum of cash) to develop your plots of land and if you dont have this paper in x months they will come with buldozers to knock it all down. When it comes to weather, things can get tricky. I guess its subjective. For me, 15 degrees is ideal, its not too warm and not too cold. Summers here can go up to 35 degrees, or in extreme cases hit 40 for a particularly hot days. Our winters are fine, doesnt go under -10.
When it comes to cheap stuff, plenty of that as well. Everything is cheap here, but if you want quality anything you will have to import it. Mechanization of all sorts, tractors, cars, welding and construction equipment in my case is usually bought from Germany. My "activated coal" purification systems, I buy those from Belgium, really affordable stuff.

But honestly, Serbia is not ideal place to live. God forbid you need a serious hospital.
