While they don't make cig companies put offensive labels on their boxes, states often tax the hell of out them here, making a pick of cigs upwards around $7-12 in California. They must've put a whole bunch of other hoops smokers have to jump through as well, since my Dad went to buy cigarettes 23 years ago and still hasn't come back

yeah theres still a smoking culture. It's kind of compensated by even minimum wage people getting 18 an hour or something but its sins taxed to shit.
