And they are doing this insane policy in the period of global rearrangement of alliances and destruction of the post-cold-war order. They act exactly or even more stupid than these idiots from Sanacja who ruled Poland up to tragic end in 1939.
They bet everything on a remote and fading empire whose citizens don't even know where Poland is located on map. A large percent of them probably don't even know what Poland is.

Our leadership is pretty clever all in all.
Our PM and PR offered terrible back at the time of the housing market crash. Socrates, the PM is still being tried for corruption, and Cavaco had the charisma of a wet sock.
But then came the pro-austerity government, with a guy that was semi-approachable but lacked charisma. Still, he made tough choices and I think history will redeem him.
Now we're ruled by a coalition government. It's centre-left backed by far-left. They've actually managed to keep the budget consolidation trend going while expanding the economy. The far-left parties have lost local government seats to the party they threw their support behind. And the new president is the most popular one in living memory. Everyone wants to kiss and hug him and dab with him.
Well, at least we were the best doing idiots out of our region which is the same shit. In 1990 we were poorer than Bulgaria or Ukraine. Our achievements are going to be wasted by these idiots who rule Poland currently if we won't be pushed into full-scale war.
