I think movies ham it up a bit (i.e. massive roaming gangs of bullies stuffing people into trash cans), but bullying happens. Antisocial trenchcoat whatever is an ancient Columbine meme, totally irrelevant to bullying in real life.
I got called "vampire girl" by one obnoxious kid who also asked me rude questions and had $5 stolen by a girl who claimed I had a crush on her (a lie). I don't know if that counts as bullying but that was my $5 and I never forgot
