It seems so strange. All tucked away down there on a huge peninsula. With no roads out of there. Also makes me realize how massive Russia actually is

It looks pretty cool

People are moving away from there, because it's too distant from everything and you can access rest of the country only by sea or air.
Though this particular city is the center of the peninsula. It means that people from smaller towns and villages are moving to it, because it provides them some kind of civilization. I mean, they have modern internet, some recreational activities, etc. Smaller towns and villages greatly lack those.

I kind of wish I lived in Siberia, there's something surreal about it.

I want to live on one of those Russian islands near Japan.

Looks cozy.

I worked there for 6 months

It must be cool, living in the shadow of a giant mountain like that. Very mystical.

Tell us about it

Alaska is no different.

It's an active volcano

It's different both geographically and culturally

Siberia seems much more ancient and spiritual than Alaska, given that the natives are still the majority in most places and still maintain their traditions.

Their ancient cultures are underrated

What's it like to grow up in the Russian far east? Do a lot of young people leave for Moscow or bigger cities once they grow up?

Would it be a good place to retire to if I speak fluent russian and Czech? I think its beautiful but I'd like a Russian's input
Any city in the far Siberian east is an industrial hellhole. Made simply for efficiency.
