Finland was formed from various ethnicities who then mixed. Some were Germanic, some were Baltic, some were Finnic/Mongolic.
The language and culture became the unifying thing, not heritage as West Finns and East Finns are even now more distant from each other than typical German is from Anglo

Tavastians are pretty much the OG Finns and everyone is a dillution of us with something else.
Finland Proper=Tavastian+Swede while Savonia=Tavastian+Saami.

I don't know how accurate this is but yeah. There's obviously some Russian influence however, Helsinki literally looks like a smaller and cleaner version of St. Petersburg and people in the east usually study Russian.

But people have migrated from east to west and vice versa through the history and it happens all the time and have always happened. But the current and most recent situation is that people in NW Russia came from baltic region and then slavs came from west to modern Russia. What was in Russia 3000-4000 years ago is irrelevant today. Populations move and gets replaced in different regions. Back off, Finland is not rightful Russian clay. NW-Russia is rightful Finnish clay and NW-Russians should start to speak Finnish immediately.
