Probably not going to happen. If the UK wanted a bridge they would have done so years ago. They're not going to spend however many millions on a bit of unnecessary infrastructure when their economy has been in turmoil since the Brexit vote.
Would be funny if they built it and NI voted to leave the UK shortly after though.
