>Are they first world?
Yes. They will tell you that they are not, but they are high-income economies according to the World Bank. And they have a "very high" HDI according to the UNDP.
>Are there violent cartels like in other SA countries?
No
>Are there favelas?
They have villas, but I don't think they classify as favelas.

>Are they first world?
No.
>Are there violent cartels like in other SA countries?
No.
>Are there favelas?
Yes. These are mostly populated with illegals from Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, etc.
But these places are in no way as violent as the favelas in Brazil.
But unlike other SA countries, these "favelas" actually get demolished, at least in Chile.

Only Chile is first world, Argentina still have problems

>No China
>No New Zealand
>No Malaysia
>No bunch of MENA
>No Georgia, Kosovo, Monaco, Andorra...
Shit. It is almost like this index is incomplete and way less relevant than the actual HDI report.

still better than the HDI report

Why?

In what way?

>Are they first world?
No
>Are there violent cartels like in other SA countries?
Not in Chile, no idea about Argentina
>Are there favelas?
Yes in both

that it takes inmequality in account?

inequality*

>Are they first world?
No
Are there violent cartels like in other SA countries?
No, and there aren't cartels in any other SA countries either, not even here.
Are there favelas?
yes

there are no favelas here, do your research 0n

Chile is hands down the best SA country, the more I read about it the more I want to visit. Really underrated but I guess you guys are alright with that

>tfw mixing reports
Sorry dude, I'm a brainlet. Yeah, you are right this index has even more measures than the HDI one but the points that made Panama-user are still valid.

That Panama-user made*

why is china grey

No.
No.
Yes.

> it's the best
> can't wait to visit

i think it's time to go outside

Just look at the statistics, they top every metric

yes there are, maybe not on the same scale as other countries but you do have slums

Chile has favelas, they just call them campamentos or poblaciones callampa

Yes, I can see that. But I can see that it puts Cyprus well above South Korea. Malta above Italy. Slovenian and the Czech Rep. above the US, Austria, Belgium, and Japan.
To me, it really seems like giving so much relevance to inequality distorts the results. Especially when a wealthy country can have a lot of inequality without having extreme poverty. Nicaragua and the US, for example, have the same GINI coefficient and you can clearly see the difference between what is called poverty in both countries.

We call them "villa" which is actually the word for 'village'.

Check in google: Villa La Angostura and Villa 31.

Vishas miseria look comfy to me

No, no, we call them villas. They are smaller than Brazilian favelas but most of them are inhabited by illegal immigrants.

What are my chances of getting mugged if I decide to drive in Villa 31?

Simio no mata simio

Wrong.

Not trying to be rude but if you walk dessed normally they would think you live there, and if you don't mess with them, they usually dont mess with people from their own slum.

So I guess that is pretty much like the slums in Lima, excluding Callao.
Will drive in there at night someday.

some user did his research I see
