Why do you do it like that anyway? I probably wouldn't have been able to learn just from lessons. You just have to do 100 hours with somebody with a full licence in the car and then a test. Or you can get an instructor which is worth 3x the time

I visited France with some friends and got stuck being the designated driver all the time because I was the only one who could drive the rental car. IMO all people should be required to do their road test on a manual transmission vehicle.
