Historically, moor comes from mauri which is a phoenician word for western berbers (westerns Algeria and Morocco) whereas Numidian is an eastern Berber (Tunisia to Libya).
Moor in antiquity meant north Moroccan+tlemcen tribes, in the medieval period meant anyone who muslim in Spain(including negros), the current accepted meaning nowadays is North Africans, so is right.
