I once thought about buying one of these yoke systems for Flight Simulator X and that was the exact moment when I decided to finally get my shit together and you should do the same.
Xavier Collins
My main concern is what if I forget to clean this up and I bring home a girl, or I invite a possible business partner over, and they see this and ask what it's for, and I have to explain that I like to drive trucks in a simulator on my free time.
Kayden Morgan
Don't get me wrong. I am getting my shit together. Das ist gut. I'm currently losing weight and investing more of time into my career choice and future. Also trying to practice more German and Japanese.
Oliver Hernandez
why would you bring your business partner to your living room
Justin Brown
Well, first of all, wouldn't your living room be where you sit your guests down? Secondly, if I want to discuss ideas or something, I invite them over, we sit down and discuss it, instead of going to a noisy cafe. Also, this is my bedroom.
Jason Thomas
Literally nobody would care.
Hudson Barnes
Not even a potential girlfriend?
Well I guess you have a point. If I have my shit together, taking care of my health and constantly working hard towards a good future, then having a hobby like this wouldn't matter.
Jeremiah Hill
Why would she? She'd just think it's some videogame shit. Nobody cares about video games.
Evan Thomas
Dude just fucking say that you play racing/rally sims and most people will be like that’s fucking cool. Just say you play trucking sims as a break from racing sims and nobody will give a damn.
Charles White
i played this with my friends on multiplayer and it was hilarious bantering with people you pass by or when youre stuck in a traffic jam with over 100 people around you. Also comfy and calming when youre just driving somewhere in sweden by yourself listening to radio
Mason Richardson
Oh shit that's good.
Juan Ortiz
I'd probably ask if I can play it
Jason Powell
I want to marry a German or Japanese girl. I'd feel like the German girl would be kinda open this, but the Japanese girl would definitely find it weird.
Joshua Cox
You think that’s bad? I got this in my room + a single monitor (because if your the fastest you don’t need to look left or right) racing set up
My girlfriend saw my bedroom in my grandma's basement with my mecha figma and homemade Rorschach blots on the walls and I'm still banging her out. Literally just be yourself bro
Camden Bell
autismus maximus
Adrian Garcia
do you cumsturbate on the figurines?
Aiden Sullivan
Well if you have fun playing it why not
Evan Gutierrez
>How would you guys react if you saw this in your friend's room? I'd say I'd be very disappointed in him since only boomers play this kind of games here.
Jace Hernandez
I know it sounds bad but hear me out. I live on the East Coast of America but I've been South and West, and American girls just generally suck. I've also gone back to my country of origin, Portugal, and have met many a French, Spanish, and Portuguese girl. They all suck as well. A smart and cute Germanic girl isn't uncommon, and neither is a cool older Japanese gf. Plus I would love to live in either Germany or Japan for a couple of years.
Jaxson Ortiz
I don't know, maybe it would be too much for them?
Nathan Martin
That's hot
Ian Perez
No. That shit is disgusting.
It’s an easy excuse, but who the fuck are you letting into your house that would nope the fuck out if you exposed your autism via simulated trucking? Sorry bud but I guarantee you that they would notice something is up before they get to your house.
Matthew Moore
are you ashamed of playing a game where you simulate a job or are you ashamed of your job as a truck driver?
Jacob Mitchell
Sound advice usually is
Aaron Price
He isn’t a truck driver. I’ve never met a trucker that would spend his off time playing trucking simulators.
Owen Powell
I'm actually pretty normal. Work out, stay fit, practice languages, and study up on my major. I've been trying really hard to find internships and volunteer work related to my major.
Luke Anderson
There are a few on the forums for these games. They've also commented on the realism.
Henry Evans
I know, that's why OP is a faggot
Adam King
breddy nice dude
I myself have put hundreds of hours into ETS2, could never convince myself of the expense of a steering wheel though
It wasn't that expensive. $350 for the steering wheel with pedals and shifter. $100 for the eaton fuller shifter. The only unnecessary thing was the dashboard, which was $250. But I like the immersiveness.
Lincoln Russell
>cumsturbate Is there a word in German for this? Seriously I’ve never heard this term before.
Sebastian Diaz
All the monitors collectively cost $300.
Oliver Kelly
>I’ve never met a trucker that would spend his off time playing trucking simulators. Joke's on you. I'd never become a trucker though, it's terrible in real life in Europe and probably in the US, too.
>$350 for the steering wheel with pedals and shifter >It wasn't that expensive Mate I've spend like $25 on the game so far. $350 is almost half the price of a new PC build.
>I’ve never met a trucker that would spend his off time playing trucking simulators. There is a Norwegian taxi driver user here that plays truck sims in his free time.
Eli Diaz
If you listen to podcasts while you play, why not? Also try Space Truck simulator aka Elite Dangerous
Caleb Cox
how do you justify it to yourself? Don’t you feel crippling depression from wasting your time? Video games used to be fun in school, but now I get anxiety that I’m not doing anything productive
Jack Baker
I just view it as being more immersed into the game. And to me, that's invaluable, since I'll never become a truck driver in real life. I have a good future ahead of me, so spending money on this is okay for me.
Hell, I spent way more on restoring my car, doing all the work myself. Too bad it's a BMW chassis. Good thing it's a BMW engine.
Levi Parker
I get that anxiety depending on what I'm doing before or after playing. Generally, I will try and do something to further my goals in life. This is mainly just for when I'm at home with nothing to do at all. I also don't necessarily play it that often. I mainly play in the summer and winter when school's over. My friends are always busy so after I get home from the park I switch the game on and listen to these sort of podcasts to keep my self motivated and disciplined. It's actually been working pretty well, and it doesn't feel like I'm suffering.
Connor Morgan
Because when I invite over a cute blonde Northern European, I don't want her to think I'm weird before actually getting to know me.
Caleb Myers
>how would you guys react if you saw this in your friend's room I wouldn't mind it to be honest. I had a buddy that spent a fortune on this shit and was playing all types of X simulators back in high school. I think he still does it today. I used to call him "the young boomer" before this atrocious meme even came to be. There's a fair bunch of people that are streaming these games with a full setup like this as well and you'd be surprised at how popular (to a reasonable extent of course) they get. This thing isn't a niche as you're making it out to be in my opinion. I recommend you don't hide it. It's not that big of a deal and if someone reacts to it negatively then they're probably not worth meeting anyway. People have much worse and more embarrassing hobbies.
Jose Sanchez
Fair point m8
Michael Rogers
well, I guess that works then. We all need some time to just relax and a hard-earned pause actually feels sweet, godspeed user
Why do all the North Americans apparently have RHD trucks when the UK is the only RHD country in the game?
Jose James
I know right. So many people will be like, "it's so boring, how can you play that", and they fail to realize it's nice to just unwind and relax, and work the truck nice and hard, using the shifter as best you can. For a mechanical guy like me, it's the best.
Liam Allen
i have a mix + ireland is in the game too if you have promods
No not really. Just extra work, something we like to avoid.
Chase Perry
It's a simcade (simulator+arcade) in terms of physics and technology. It has some very detailed inner workings in the code and pretends to be realistic without making things too hard. You can change a few things in the settings to make it a little easier or harder, like realistic air brake pressure simulation, shifting modes and other stuff. Also open world simulators never have any inherent challenge to the career, it's nearly impossible not to make money.
Chase Parker
I usually play single. Got sick and tired of multi and it's bs.
Jack Carter
Kinda lacking replay value. Never got into mods.
Kayden King
I try to keep my settings as realistic as possible.
Anthony Brooks
Huh. Nothing for me but seems like a relaxing game in a way.
Brandon Collins
Plus another hundred hours or so pirated before I snatched it on sale.
i see, i personally only play multiplayer have to be cautious tho very easy getting banned i already been banned 3 times for minor things like swearing
Lucas Cox
map that adds a part of kazakhstan
John Bailey
255 hours on ets.
Grayson Sanders
For an Irishman, I'd imagine it difficult.
Luis Miller
I wish they'd really expand the Japan map. It looks so good right now, but it's too small. I want more.
