Opinions on American popular culture and consumerism

Do you think American popular culture has a positive or negative impact on the world? Would you say that American popular culture is closely related to consumerism?

Picture not necessarily related.

Yes, that is it's biggest flaw

Absolute garbage

Osama bin Laden was right to identify the US as the great Satan for reasons well beyond his religion.

American culture is shit and we export a lot of junk but tbqh if it wasn't us doing it someone else would be. In an alternate timeline we'd all be hating Germany for exporting their cancer.

The best thing the US gave to the world was music.

Britain gave the world lots of nice music too

Osama did nothing wrong. Everyone who died in 9/11 was a tie-wearing kike.

By far the greatest plague to the world.

is basically marginalizes any ideology wherever it manages to take hold. No point resisting any more

Does she actually post here or does she stay on Jow Forums (and possibly Jow Forums)?

I imagine this board being a little too high IQ for her.

It's literally one of the worst thing to come from America.
I'd like it a lot more if they had stuck with cowboys and ten-gallon hats.

epic slander mutt

>flag low enough to touch the ground
Even patriotism is just a consumerist fashion trend in the US top kek

US pop culture had a lot of gems but is currently a slave to business. They use pop culture as a vessel to maximize revenue through sales, merchandise and product placement, and appeal to the lowest common denominator in order to reach max audience. Current american pop culture is a product of pure marketing, not art. And since they appeal to the lowest common denominator, and there is no art in it, they drag the cultural level of the audience ever further down. Just look at capeshit, 6ty9ine, star wars, manufactured media ""scandals"" etc.

I doubt it, I feel like US pop culture could have bloomed only in US. Hard to articulate why, though.
