Stop ignoring Vojvodina !
Today it's full of butthurt after Croats won against England.
But overall it's a nice, multicultural place with the highest living standards in Serbia. It's mostly rural though.
Vojvodina je Hungary
rightfully hungarian clay
trianon was an unjustified land theft
Why is it autonomous?
rightful HUNGarian clay
Because a lot of Hungarians live there. Also some Croats.
>highest living standards in Serbia
Stupid faggot
is it not though?
It is, he's trying to be edgy or he's a Sumadija peasant.
>Today it's full of butthurt after Croats won against England.
But the anglos lost.
richest soil, supreme opportunities for agriculture
Serbs supported Anglos mostly.
>autonomous region of serbia
>split into three parts - backa, banat and srem by rivers sava, danube and tisza
>3/4 serbs, 1/4 other ethnicities, mainly hungarians
>low birthrates for like a 100 years, rapidly dying out, cities like subotica had two times larger populations 100 years ago
>flat
>somewhat more developed than serbia, but that doesn't really say much
>huge agricultural potential
it's a comfy place, although depressing as well, since you might pass through a town and not see a person that's less than 60 years old, especially in banat (eastern part of vojvodina) where people have basically had a one child policy since 1900.
Nice!
How do you know all that?
>Today it's full of butthurt after Croats won against England.
????????
Vojvodina is only place in Serbia with Croat minoritiy.
No I didn't, fuck off. I'd rather have Croatians win twice than eternal Anglo.
>where people have basically had a one child policy since 1900.
If that is placed upon the gypsies, that's great!
>What happens here?
Stuff....and things....
This is the most accurate description of Vojvodina so far and I'm from Vojvodina.
Did you visit us?
Best part of Serbia since it was under Austrian rule.
>ties like subotica had two times larger populations 100 years ago
No? Subotica had like 120k in 1940, and 140k today To be fair it used to be like 70% Hungarian, today its just 40%.
You are right that the region is dying out (just like the rest of Serbia), but subotica is not a good example, any other town would be true.
So what? They make up a very small minority. 75% of Vojvodinians were butthurt.
You're an exception Jovan

World of mouth is, Orban tries to fasten up Serbia's EU join to gain autonomy for the Hungarians living here.
my mom's family is from the banat part of vojvodina so i go there sometimes.
it wasn't placed upon anyone, people just had very few children on their own accord. except for the gypsies of course
nas sam anone, samo sam trenutno u belgiji
it's 140k maybe with the surrounding municipality and all, but the city itself dropped below 100k by now for sure. but sure, i may have exaggerated a bit. and yeah, sure, a lot of hungarians and germans left or were kicked out by communists after ww2
also, hungary is not any better in terms of birth rates
I know, all of the Balkans-Carphatians have bad birthrates. Also, young Hungarians in Vojvodina usually go straigth to Budapest and never look back.
that right there sounds like a plan to give special autonomy to that part and cancel all the autonomy for the rest vojvodina since the remainder would be like 85%+ serb. i'd be up for it. have the part that actually is inhabited by a different ethnicity have real authonomy and have the rest integrated into a normal administrative structure
btw what do hungarians think about the position of hungarians in serbia (aside that they probably feel like they live in shittier economical conditions)
well it only makes sense
the economy of serbia is abysmal, plus, unless they would chose to go to novi sad or belgrade, staying in serbia would mean living in a shitty decaying depressing town where nothing ever happens. i mean just look at subotica and how boring it is. i couldn't spend more than a month there
Farms, old people, flat lands compared to rest of balkans
I liked subotica, but just because I had a gf from there, with she it was a lively town, it was like most middle sized Hungarian cities
But yeah its not a metropolos thats for sure
Was she Magyar too? Curious how they view living in Serbia and all of that and whether they had any problems.
Yeah she is magyar.
They view it as okay, Hungarians in Serbia are not provocated daily like in Romania/Slovakia with language laws or denying their culture there, mostly because to Yugoslavia, their Hungarian minority wasn't a problem, as it didn't try to be a one nation state (we know how that ended lol). Serbs and Magyar coexist peacefully, of course sometimes there are natsionalistic fuels, but even that is more like a banter, and not outright hate like in Transylvania.
Of course, everybody would be happier with regional autonomy in North-Vojvodina, mainly because they are worried that they slowly dissappear, as kids go Pécs/Szeged/Budapest to collage (and then live), if not straight to the West.
