Why is everyone pissed that Germany & Russia are teaming up for the pipeline deal? It seems mostly from Poland and the Baltic states along with the United States.

The thing about this pipeline is that it's not going to increase volume overall. It's just going to be an alternative route to bypass all the transit countries. They are butthurt, because they will lose their transit fees. Ukraine is butthurt for the same reason. The volume of gas going through Ukrainian pipeline has already fallen last years. And it's going to fall even more with this pipeline.
Same with Turkish stream and Bulgaria. They already realized the mistake they made by declining South Stream.

And for Germany, this pipeline is important, because they will become a major gas hub in Europe. Meaning they can import more than they need and resell it to other EU countries. USA doesn't need that, because it wants to sell their LNG. This whole rhetoric about dependency and Russian threat is just bullshit.

Doubtful. We'll sell it but I think Poland's LNG terminal has mostly been supplied from the Middle East. Most of our natural gas goes to us or our neighbors.
