Ukrainians.

Even if the Polish government settled some army veterans in what you consider to be Ukrainian land, they didn't change the situation very much, as proved by data from 1916. The area around Lviv was very mixed. The area around cities like Stanisławów (Ivano Frankivsk) was almost completely Ukrainian though.
Either way actions by the government that you don't like don't give UPA the right to start murdering villager civilians, which is what you're triyng to do - trying to find an excuse for why the people 'deserved' to be killed.

There were cities like Drohobych, where 50% of the inhabitants were Jews, and only 25% were Orthodox Ukrainians. You're trying to make it sound as if Poles sat in Lviv as if it was some kind of island, while everything outside the city walls was Ukrainian, which demonstrably isn't true.
Also, Austrian authorities had an interest in propping up Ukrainian nationalism. They did the same thing in Bukovina, where they forced Romanian peasants to attend Orthodox masses in Old Church Slavonic. They tried to make the area more Ukrainian, by changing the language of the local Romanian population, since it was in their interest to make the area as mixed as possible, so it doesn't revolt against the government.

I showed it in my previous post. The picture. It was conducted during WW1 by the Germs. There were tons of settlements surrounding Lviv that weren't Ukrainian.

Yes, it does. Ukrops had the most villages outside of Lviv, so they were the majority of the population. It wasn't a sea of Ukrainians though, since the area was extremely mixed and other people lived there in large numbers as well. It wasn't purely ethnic Ukrainian land. Your own Austrian census (which, again, isn't very credible, since Austrians had favored the Ukrainian population in the past, like I said), places the percentage of Ukrainians at 64.5%. Is that "purely Ukrainian" for you?

Most of that Tatar land was depopulated wild fields. They lived in small pockets, mainly in Crimea. South Ukraine was colonized mainly by ethnic Ukrainians from what is now Central Ukraine.

This was preceeded by the Polish Czechoslovak war of 1919. It was a dickmove by Poland to invade them in 1938 when their country was being buttfucked by Germany, but the area has its own history of conflicts and aggressions by both sides.
