Argentina's economy was entirely tied to supporting the British Empire, so once that died, they went with it and never really recovered.

Never cared about invest in industrialization before 1950 because thy thought they could live selling meat to English people

This fucked the argentine industries

Like the Euro is fucking the southern european industries

Today they conduct most commerce with China and Third World cunts which are worth a lot less money than the US and Europe because the latter have no need of their main exports (motor vehicles and meat/grain).

desu pic related doesn't really look like the richest country in the world in 19th century, average town in an average European country had more sophisticated and stunning architecture than this (I guess it's Buenos Aires).

>Like the Euro is fucking the southern european industries
That's not surprising considering our common ancestors. Must be a genetic tare.

Yes.
Too much shitalians, frogs and nazis

But American cities created its own distinct look, while Buenos and other Latin American cities tried to copy Europe. They had a lot of money to do it yet they failed at it.

>while Buenos and other Latin American cities tried to copy Europe.
Wrong
We tried to copy NY and failed

Only in 20th century, in 19th century Brazil copied Europe as well, Rio de Janeiro had a lot of streets with typical European art noveau architecture (a lot of which was demolished in the 1950s and 60s to make room for skyscrapers)

It was good till the amer*ndians from our northern provinces, Bolivia, Peru and Paraguay started coming here.
Africans and Asians are based though, they do no wrong.

T. el indio maricòn de Jujuy

Argentians were put in charge of their own destiny. Pretty big mistake that turned out to be.

> which of these caused it?
None of them was damaging for them. What actually happened was uncontrolled immigration from Bolivia and Peru that ended up dumbing down the country as a whole. If it weren't for that Argentina would be better than USA today

THIS

>gdp PER CAPITA
>1895
>What happened?
Nothing happened. This was an unpopulated country and the population tripled in the next few years. There was no middle-class, just rich landowners and dirt poor gauchos and the whole economy was based on exporting to the UK. Argentina was never great
