Is Norway always picturesque and beautiful? or is that only certain parts at certain parts of the year?

Attached: lofoten.jpg (2400x1350, 871K)

B-gjengen som negere. Denne starteren ble enda bedre nå.

hun er kåt på deg

>or is that only certain parts at certain parts of the year
this pretty much

Yes, the entire country is one gigantic fjord

EU citizens can freely move to Norway as long as they are able to provide for themselves, the Norwegian state want give you any handouts, food coupons etc.
>Bachelor degree
All our universities offer several programs in English.
Language won't be much of a barrier, most Norwegians understand English very well. One German friend of me once said that Norwegian is a easy language for Germans to learn, apparently our languages got several similarities

welcome to norway

Attached: artikkel_trees_bilde_0.jpg (916x448, 114K)

Pretty much everywhere IMO, but you have chosen one place that is particular nice in that photo. At least if you are in Northern Norway and Western Norway. Pic related, the amount of mountain in just one province. No matter where you go there it's gonna be scenic. I'd say it's best during summer or during summer. When it's fall it's too gray and dull to be particularly beautiful, but perhaps that's just me.

Summer or winter**

Not in eastern norway around Oslo.

Welcome to Akershus

norwegian is really easy for english speakers too
it's basically just archaic english pronounced a little funny

Fuck user, a quiet life in a scenic village is what I want.
I'm going to visit Norway soon, in a sense I genuinely hope I've romanticized it in my head because getting there is going to be rough.
Huh, is one of these areas much more expensive? The right side looks nice but I hope it's not near Oslo

>The right side looks nice but I hope it's not near Oslo
That image is like an hour outside of Oslo or something.

Are small villages very expensive to live in user?

Not really, in my small village you can get a small farm for 400 000 nok

Eh, depends what you mean is cheap. Norway is like the least expensive country in all of EU+EEA, if you take salaries into account. However, our prices are higher than most european countries. Switzerland is more expensive, UK is kinda close, etc. But they don't have our salaries.

Then, you have Oslo vs Norway. Obviously Oslo is a lot more expensive than the rest. I find that you can afford living twice as good in smaller cities or towns compared to Oslo.

For example, my house would cost 20 million kroners if it was located in Oslo, but here it's worth 3.5 million kroners.

I don't get the appeal of wanting to live in Oslo at all. I guess it's for jobs?
I think my idea of relocating to a quaint Norwegian village and living a simple life is a pipedream anons but if it ends up being as peaceful and nice as I think it is I'm going to autistically focus on achieving that.
I haven't bothered to learn Norwegian yet because I'm not sure if how I'll like it yet but if I end up liking it, I'll return here as fluent as a Norwegian poet. Thanks again based /norge/ bros

Attached: green.jpg (1920x1080, 711K)

Gjore klar havregryn?

Well I'm already learning Norwegian since languages is what I care about and I thought Norwegian is a sick language. Providing for myself would be the only issue that I see. Most jobs would indeed require me to speak Norwegian and well, in order to move you need to have some money to begin with, which I currently lack. That mean I'd have to work here for a couple of years *unless* of course I get accepted into any Norwegian university. With most foreign exchange programmes you get access to a dedicated dormatory and I'd just need to get a side job everyone can do (fast-food industry wage-slavery). I feel kinda anxious about it though, like I'm definitely missing a couple complications that I didn't yet think of and well, theorising about it is way easier than realising it. I just know that currently I feel like dying more than anything else and I need fresh air, far, far away from here. And if I could do what I love somewhere nice then that'd be splendid.
It's a plan in the making at this point but we'll see.

Good luck Germananon. If you got anymore questions, just ask them in this thread. Germans are always welcome here

>Then, you have Oslo vs Norway. Obviously Oslo is a lot more expensive than the rest. I find that you can afford living twice as good in smaller cities or towns compared to Oslo.

You don't need to live out in the middle of nowhere to live cheaper tho. I see your image and I would never want to live there myself (if you do then that's just fine too), my point is that you can live in a small city like 20-50k people like I do, and it will be significantly cheaper than Oslo. Living like I do is pretty sweet, it's urban but at the same time there is nature everywhere. I just ride my bike and some moments later I'm in the mointains and the woods. But I can go clubbing in the city centre and be at the pubs, meet people I never met before, and so on. It's both worlds in one, I think. And it's a lot cheaper than Oslo. I get a full house for a lot less than those in Oslo who basically need to "win life" in order to get what I have.

Kostet faen meg like mye som 2 ol her hjemme.

You don't know what it's like to live in a shit hole user. I know it comes off autistic but it's mostly desperation.
I wouldn't be that excited about Americans moving to Norway either but I'll be a great immigrant.
Appreciate it friend, I think I just want the exact opposite of living in the city. I won't be sure until I experience it but you might be right, too rural could be shitty as well.

This is the "quaint country life" you're romanticizing.

Haha hva faen. Hvor er dette?

desu jeg vil bor i norge også ((((-:

Yea but instead of moving to another city or town in a country you evidently don't like you could just move to a place you actually like. Obviously you should travel there first and read up on it, learn the language and get financially secure, but aside from that there's nothing really wrong with wanting to move. If it's romanticisms you're upset about then surely there are worse things than people thinking your country is good enough to be romanticised, lol.

Based
This is the information I needed to hear user. I really appreciate this response. What town? Tried looking for white city and nothing came up.
Yes faggot you might be right but I won't know until I actually visit.
Oddly enough this is what I was looking for more than anything. There is intention behind it, I have money saved for a trip but going to wait until next semester.
Depending where you live American culture is awful. If you happen to live in a crime infested city and every time you go out you hear gunshots and rap music you might also want to move.
The problem is that can be the middle class life in some areas of the U.S too.

Er BI eit universitet? Kvifor koster det?

I wish you well Sven, we could of been something.

Farwell

It's private.

natt gutter

>Sven
Wrong fucking country, jesus christ

Get the fuck out, holy shit

It's not a university, but a "höyskole". I guess you could translate it to a "business college". It's below a university, but still counts as "higher education" in the Norwegian educational system.

Yes, for everyone. Like user said, it's a private institution.

I know there is a language barrier but user the point of calling you Sven was to piss you off.
It's like calling a person from Korea a nip user.

Unironically this user and I would get along the best. I wish your family many blessings this Christmas

Ganske ironisk
