>WE WUZ PEACEFUL N SHIET

We've been living through the greatest era of peace and growth in human history. you want to go back to the days when countries sent privateers to attack their rival's shipping lanes?

because it has never worked in the history of man. don't care if it's run by america or the eu, but nukes will fly before it's run by china

Cause it would be the unknown for the US/NATO leadership and usually the intelligence com, the military, the economists, the richs, the politicians don't like uncharted territories.

Also via the dollar, everytime someone use the world reserve currency you are submitted to US laws if you're a company, so they use this as political leverage.

That's the eternal dream of the new international world order.
A world order under US idealism is tempting.

Agreed. This is why I can't wait for the Asian century.

Because we had it during the Cold War and it led to a lot more war and instability than you see today. The world is pretty peaceful now outside the Middle East.

because guy in pole position never wants to share the spot with anybody else. meanwhile the other in second place always wants the first position shared, until they become strong enough to be the front runner. older then history itself.

The only way to resolve South China Sea conflict is to put everyone in the same table and talk about it. Everyone except Taiwan because their claim doesn’t make any sense.

cold war was bipolar, which was largely stable. multipolar is unstable and will lead to catastrophic war, lik wwi

We already live in a multipolar world, just look at the USA, Russia, China and the EU, these are the world's major powers.

Unipolar worlds are either impossible or short lived, after all, there is always going to be some kind of opposition.

Except that the Chinese and Western philosophies on how the world should run are completely opposite for the time being.

Why not just accept the blue lines?

that has nothing to do with my statement. guy in first place never wants to share his spot meanwhile guy on second places always says he wants to share first place, up until he becomes strong enough to become first place by himself. it is just human nature.

no we don't. the US is still the guarantor of peace through its unchallenged military. growing economies here and there doesn't mean we live in a true multipolar world

Because nobody wants that. South China Sea is best left alone, otherwise it just promotes conflict not only against China but also within ASEAN members too

because we already have one non-white superpower of soulless meddling super-polluters, we don't need another one.

because blue lines mean less space for the Chinese. so it's in their interest to claim more space at the expense of other people.

>because we already have one non-white superpower of soulless meddling super-polluters
Yeah one Germany is enough. Two is too many.

Germany is a regional power, stupid mutt

How stupid Americans be?

People aren't opposed to the concept of a multipolar world, they just don't want China to be part of that polarity because we recognize how objectively shit it would be.

The US is dominant right now so why would the people on top want that to change? Not to mention Chinese are even more cancer than the US.

the nightmare of the American century is going to be replaced by the living hell of a Chinese century

our century on the other hand was beyond fantastic, the best the world has ever seen.

Because they are NWO drones who want the world to come into Anti-Christ hands.

I want 3 poles. EU, US and China. Everyone else just being minor players.
Ideally there'd be a fourth with a unified commonwealth of UK, Canada, Australia and NZ but that ship has sailed.

china's actions so far has shown no one in asia wants it to be dominant in that region. it should be japan

China has no allies to speak of and nearly all their neighbors would just as soon see them nuked off the map.
