Why is wine more popular than beer in some countries? Why have wine when you can have beer?

I don't give a shit
both are good but wine gets you drunk faster and the hang overs aren't as bad.
also wine can be fancy. but beer is good too with a hearty meal.
i love alcohol
Beer gives me the shits
Beer gives me the burps.
Beer gives me the pees
Beer gives me AIDS
Im not going to drink beer with a good steak
Beer gives me the PTSD
Beer upsets my stomach, but wine doesn't. Also wine tastes better. They're both absolute shit compared to good vodka or rum though.
All alcohol tastes like shit
People only pretend to like it to look cool
this
Beer it's a construction workers drink.
Pretty much this tbqh.
every drug "tastes" like shit, its the fucking addiction that makes people take it every time
I dunno m8, I love the smell and taste of cocaine.
Just different excuses to be a drunk

wine is gay as fuck and that's why I drink it over beer
I don't know where the wine gayness thing came from over here. I love wine
Unironically underage
No such thing as being underage for alcohol here. But you like to truss up the fact you're just a drunk.
I'm 24 and I've done plenty of drinking. Its all shit and you don't drink to enjoy. You don't develop a taste for it, you develop a tolerance.
He meant underage for posting on Jow Forums ya mong.
Most people do develop a taste for it. Apparently it just isn't for you.
Wow is everyone in america retarded?
probably because of them associating wine with the french and women
when I think of wine though I think of georgians
No, only about 60% of us. But I'm not one of them.
I don't believe that. People desire the social environment, the fun, the dancing, the effects of being drunk. Even the physical refreshment of a cold liquid. I'm sure there are some that enjoy the taste but I think they're a small minority.
If that were the case, nobody would bother buying nice top shelf booze. You don't pay $60+ for a single bottle of liquor unless you really like that shit.
People buy expensive things for all sorts of reasons. I suspect the ratio of those being consumed socially vs alone for example is 1000:1
i get worse hangovers from wine than beer desu senpai
but i also no longer get drunk from beer
It can be consumed alone or socially. I've been a drunk and known enough drunks for long enough. You're not just trying to troll me are you?
You must have issues if you cant understand how people like things you dont like
I think it probably has more to do with me growing up in a culture of equal parts alcoholism and temporarily embarassed millionaires. Everyone buys the cheapest piss or hardest drink to get wasted and the most expensive one they can find for their """""friends""""" and coworkers
Climate and soil.
Also traditions.
wine is superior to beer from a health standpoint. beer has loads of calories and is actually estrogenic unlike soy. you can also consume a relatively lower amount to achieve a nice buzz
I drink a beer alone sometimes because it tastes good
>I'm sure there are some that enjoy the taste but I think they're a small minority.
Wine has a higher alcohol percentage, it get's the job done quicker.
yeah but also theres much less social pressure to drink beer on young people now, im 19 and the people who drink beer to get pissed is a minority now and most of the time its basically water like corona/great northern/xxxx summer. Actually i guess you're right. But if you get social pressured into drinking beer you do acquire the taste and enjoy it.
Spirits > Wine > Beer > sugary malt liquors
>alchohol can not be enjoyed
>you just drink it to get drunk
This is top level retardation. I drink beer and spirits because I enjoy them. A good beer or a nice dram can really put the golden edge on an otherwise pleasant evening. And get this; alcohol ADDS TO THE FLAVOUR. Yes, a beer or glass of whisky with a HIGHER strength of alcohol often ENHANCES the good taste.
t. fine drinker
Also
>I suspect the ratio of those being consumed socially vs alone for example is 1000:1
Most finetasters mainly drink their fine spirits in the comfort of their own home, even if they are members of whisky clubs and the like, I'd say the social drinking figure is lower than the home alone drinking figure.
To sum it up; you guys just don't like alcohol or have yet to develop your taste and you think everyone has the same taste and opinion as you.

>People desire the social environment, the fun, the dancing
:D
Wine usually gives worse hangovers I find
I tend to agree, with the exception of some wines.
why is there no canned wine?
thanks for Corona. Now that's a good beer.
Same reason there are no canned spirits.
domestic wine is a God-tier.
chemical """"""""beer""""""""" and """"""""""wine"""""""""" from the marts is a shit-tier.
