Walking to work is seen as a lower status type thing, though. I live in a rural area however, so if I lived in the city withing 2 or 3 miles I would grab a coffee and water and walk to work. My job is 26 minutes away.

For most Americans there is nothing worth going to 100 meters away, driving or walking

>100 meters
Don't know how far that is and I don't care

>because the simply act of walking is seen as being poor and unable to afford a car
nah we're just lazy

>tfw I misread and thought he meant miles

Yeah idk how far that is either.

I fucking hate cars. I wish we had passenger trains stemming from urban centers. It's retarded having to drive through 40+ minutes of traffic just to go downtown

It's called freedom.

this

Same

1 mile = 1600 meters
So use your head for 100 meters

Not happy about this thread, I thought Brazil was Team America when it came to euro shit like walking and biking

so it's 1/16th of a mile, thanks that helps a lot

my fat as fuck alcoholic neighbor does this
there's a store like 150 meters from his house and he only ever goes there by car

Please seek a vasectomy and kill any offspring you already have.

And then they don't even have to leave the car

Do they actually stay in their car the entire time, though? We have drive through bottle shops all over but people park their car in the driveway or in the nearby parking and go into the store. They're often attached to pubs and clubs, often found at the side or rear where there is already onsite parking.

Meter is pretty much a yard.
