Yeah our tap water isn't that safe to drink directly from the tap. It's clear and purified, but it's basically recycled from the sewage. We shower with the tap, but not drink. It's safer to just drink distilled salt. Still a third world country. Can't trust the government to do a good job. Some particles might slip through the filter.

I'm just back from a 2 week holiday without internet access, best two week of my year. The internet really is a curse upon mankind.

I've gone backpacking for 6+ months at a time couple of times and didn't come here once during (except maybe for a couple cheeky wanks lol) and felt way better mentally.
Every time I came back I just lapsed into the old unhealthy patterns. This is worse than quitting opiates or smoking. Unironically wish they'd shut this site down already so I could be free.

It's not just this site, Twitter, FB, reddit all need to go because they are all just as bad. The whole internet needs to go.

I find Jow Forums to be the worst because it moves so fast, like the perfect hybrid between a chatroom and a forum. Endless F5 loop.
It doesn't matter though, there's no going back it's only going to get worse.

It really is.

It could had been the salvation, but it didn't turn out that way. Interestingly people stick their heads into sand even more vigorously and become more psychotic in various different ways than ever before, although all kind of information is now readily available and most importantly readily debatable.

Depends on the localities. Did the "Flint Water Crisis" make the news in Britain? Flint, Michigan has terrible water.

Not sure why the OP thinks that the 4th largest country in the world has the exact same water issues everywhere.

You need to get busy or get a social life. I don't have a social life either and that's why I come here, but my work is on the pc so I don't lose much time which makes me busy most of the time so I don't feel bad about going on Jow Forums.

Depends on where you are. In Tennessee, it is potable and doesn't have an offensive taste. In Phoenix, it tastes like a pool. Florida's is even worse than the water in Phoenix.

i see foreigners buy huge amounts of water from shops and lugging them back to their house because they don't know that tap water is drinkable in the first world
