The main reason Haiti became poor is that when they destroyed plantations and massacred almost all whites(owners of plantations) and a good portion of mulattoes (who could inherit them due to having a white parent) effectively destroying their main economic activity.

It's a long story but okay. You must understand why the two nations hate each other first. It starts for the Scramble for Africa. Eritrea was not a part of Ethiopia formally, but culturally, ethnically, and language they were the same as us. Italy ended up colonizing them and not us. After WW2, Ethiopia was liberated and Eritrea was put under British control. They then had a deal over the future of the Horn, and they agreed to give us Eritrea. For a while all was well, some Eritreans wants secession but not all. Then the communist coup started the civil war. Within the civil war Eritrea and Tigray declared independence. Tigray was led by an evil man named Meles Zenawi, who later led TPLF. He will be important later. Ethiopia, with Cuban and Soviet support was able to resist both of them, and a Somali invasion. Then Meles switched sides. The TPLF began to call themselves a rival government to the Worker's Party. They overthrew them, and then despite Eritrea being defeated too, they then let them go. The TPLF hates Ethiopia, in fact they had plans on dismantling the entire nation. They made Ethiopia a landlocked nation on purpose, and gave Eritrea more land than they should've. In fact, Eritrean don't even want the land that landlocked us. What the TPLF wanted to do is to keep going to war with Eritrea for no reason, just to destabilize us and to keep Eritrea more nationalist.

Jump to modern time. We have a new leader named Abiy Ahmed. Best leader in all our history. He recently met with Eritrean leader Isaias Afewerki and ended the war. The people don't hate each other. We are the same. The problem is Eritreans think they're different... now hopefully we'll get our coast back.

Yeah, the majority of Haitians I've met were strong adherents to Roman Catholicism, and considered the amalgamation between Haitian Voodoo and Catholicism (such as disguising loa or spirits as Roman Catholic saints) as being extremely blasphemous. Whenever there are outbreaks of illnesses such as cholera and malaria, usually the voodoo priests are the first to be blamed and are usually targeted by lynch mobs.

The war was basically over some small village and other small territories. In the Algiers agreement from the 2000 war, some land was awarded to Ethiopia but given to Eritrea and vice versa. We just gave them the land to make them happy since it doesn't even matter.

Tigray are the people living in the Tigray province and in Eritrea. Historically, they have always been a part of Ethiopia (outside of Eritrea) and were in the Kingdom of Axum and the start of the new Ethiopian Empire. They speak Tigray language and they are Semites. They have slightly lighter skin and are the most related to Arabs ethnically from the tribes. Amhara are almost identical. They share everything except they look a bit darker and they speak Amharic. Amharic is the official language of Ethiopia because Emperor Haile Selassie was an Amhara and knew that a country with 80 languages needed one to unify them. The Oromo are the different ones. They are the most populous ones and are Cushitic, like Somalis. You see, the TPLF promotes ethnic federalism and they changed the provinces to be by tribe instead of geography and stuff. Look at an old map of the provinces compared to the ones now. The Oromo weren't the only oppressed ones. Amhara, Afar, Gumz, Somalis, and the various southerners were too. The Tigray people reign supreme over the others politically, and every political party must be by ethnicity. There aren't conservative, liberal, socialist, progressive, etc parties, it's all by ethnicity. The Oromo were the ones protesting against this is most. They are our heroes. By the way, Tigray people hate the TPLF too. The TPLF was designed to destroy Ethiopia. Meles Zenawi wanted us to die like Yugoslavia.

Now, Abiy Ahmed our PM is an Oromo, and he has brought peace finally. The Oromo just wanted equality, not independence.

Once, Somalia was very strong. They were never us strong as us though. They had a communist leader called Siad Barre who modernized Somalia, cont.

And he believed in Greater Somalia. It has land from Kenya, Djibouti, and Ethiopia. He first went to war with Kenya. It was a stalemate. Then was Ethiopia. At the time, we were very unstable. The military was basically destroyed, so they struck us when we were weak. Dick move. The Soviets and Cubans saved our asses though. I can never really hate Fidel Castro when I know he did that. After the two failed wars distrust in Siad Barre was high, and he was overthrown, thus starting the mess that is Somalia now.

Eritrea is just pathetic honestly. It's basically fascist, it's a one party state without elections and the leader holds all power. I feel bad for the people but I guess it's just karma for becoming independent. Eritrea has no future. If they want one they must return to the Ethiopian Empire. That's my thoughts on them. I don't hate them. I just feel bad that they can be this delusional and that they end up like this.
