But Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Austria and most of Germany are Catholic and not Southern Europe.

Definitely not Germanic protestant. Clean streets and high salaries are fine, but the people who live there are extremely toxic. Turbo-conformist to the point of cult-like behavior, extremely judgemental and intolerant of other people's imperfections and peculiarities (Germans gassed their disabled people just a few decades ago, Swedes sterilized dozens of thousands of their disabled people against their will just 40 years ago, even in Stalinist Soviet Union - not to mention fascist Italy - that would be unthinkable), narrow-minded and uncreative, lacking sense of humour and unflexible, very low empathy, suppressed sadism and racism. Basically most of Germanic protestants are dormant Nazis. Clean, organized, perfectionist, industrious, but also sadistic, xenophobic, intolerant, unempathetic, robotic and fanatical. I'd rather live in a calm, relaxed and friendly Greece than in any of those Northern countries. Nazi lifestyle is not my cup of tea.
