I unironically hope that this is true. The highway toll was just a shitty coalition concession. It's already expected to cost more money in bureaucratic upkeep than it's projected revenue. There should be some kind of European solution to get rid of national tolls entirely.

You know that if we do that on an European level all the profits will go to the east.

It's stupid as hell that we pay insane amounts of taxes but our government cannot even provide with free roads.
Especially in France it's a fucking joke considering first the French taxpayer paid for the roads, then the government sold said roads for pennies to investors which charge French people (who paid for them) to drive them.
