No one gives a shit fuck off dumb yank
>We're gonna lock 'er up, folks, we're gonna put away Lyin' Crooked Hillary, we're not gonna put up with it, folks, I'm gonna build a big, beautiful wall, and they're gonna pay for it, folks, we're not gonna be taken for a ride any more, thank you and God bless
>he's going down for the 54,956th time
But it’s not the 54959th time. It’s the first time all his own appointees, party and lawyer are turning on him.
What the fuck is this story. Legit?
I hope Mitt Romney comes out of nowhere and becomes the President. That’s a real American alpha male.
Oy vey!
>anonymous sources say
call me when he get's impeached
everything before that is worth the hairs on my ass
He honestly thought the press conference in Helsinki went great. Absolute delusional.
Yes
IS IT OVER?
Americans are brainwashed by russophobia.. Cold War mentality.
Of course not.
It's a meme created by poltards. This is a proof that libtards would believe anything fake in the media.
Is the ride finally going to end?
>mitt
>alpha
Yes, a different president. Then we can flood the border and go on welfare.
Trump wanted to stop rate hikes, even as he was raising the cost of imports with tariffs. He clearly wants maximum inflation.
you know it's true based off Bolton and Kelly's stance on Russia
you really fucking think Bolton would take this laying down?
It was her turn though.
I don’t understand. Why doesn’t he just change his policy? What he’s doing now is making him increasingly unpopular and going to bankrupt the government (he’s giving his a trillion dollar deficit), while costing all his supporters jobs with his tariffs.
It’s like he wants to lose all his friends.
ANY DAY NOW DRUMPFT WILL BE IMPEACHED
what comments? post the comment
No i dont actually. And neither do you
>they talked to him in his office
>theyre turning on him
this t.b.h some people just dont seem to understand the cold war is over
This will go down in history as the most relevant onion article ever published
Doesn't he have 80%+ approval among republicans? I don't think they care what he does
was this his plan all along? crashing america with no survivors?
I dont know if you are believing the memes or not but america is currently flourishing under him. All the negative connotations surrounding tariffs or strongarming allies is all conjecture. Being a bully has worked thus far
lel
Why is he so angry at other countries if america is flourishing?
Sorry but you are going to have to wait till 2020 unless some new evidence appears that could link him the russian intel officers that got indicted but i wouldn’t hold my breath if i were you
because in his view America has received the short end of the stick in deals made in the past
At the G-7 summit he was largely criticized for protective tariffs but suggested that he would be ok with a completely free trade environment that removed all protective tariffs and subsidies such as those that many european countries put on products such as wine, cheese, and some meats. The other members awkwardly changed the subject and instead proposed a system without tariffs but such subsidies still in place as the current system massively favors them.
The fact that they were unwilling to go truly free trade validates what he has been saying somewhat.
And that is just with trade. You dont even have to look that deep into the situation to see that America is bankrolling the protection for most of NATO. This is particularly vexing as just a few years ago people were bitching about America using NATO as its own personal empire and yet when someone comes along and says it should be a defense trade pact and people should be paying for more of their own defense they do a complete 180 and start bitching in the opposite direction.
I dont agree with most of what he says but its easy to see his arguments when it come to trade and military spending across NATO which are 2 of the biggest points of contention right now
>America is currently flourishing under him
Confirmed for believing the memes. “Trump’s economy” is just from increased spending while reducing taxes.
Also his tariffs are retarded. I’d like someone told him “here are the tariffs that will cost America the most jobs and hurt China the least” and he went “MAGA let’s do those!”
>Trump is already making the US a paradise but it would actually be a paradise++ if it weren't for the whole world
Okay buddy
I love how you say this while LITERALLY quoting memes in your own post. The yuan is reeling right now and has caused china to go back to government backed currency manipulation after saying they would let market forces control its currency. If china were not harmed much by this trade conflict none of these things would be happening.
Trump taking credit for increased NATO spending is really something. It has been increasing for years now.
excellent strawman that doesnt even acknowledge the post
I havnt seen big claims on him being credited for increased nato spending, in fact the conversation is still dominated by the fact that its still far under target for most members with most focus on the largest members like germany
President Bolton when?
Just like your post doesn't explain at all the paradox in having a flourishing country that is supposedly squeezed by the whole world
You obviously haven’t followed the news; even republicans in diehard trumo districts have resigned after Helsinki. Even republicans in Texas have written op-Eds in the NYT saying “Putin controls trump now.”
Even his own appointees have released public statements vehemently disagreeing with him.
You’re living in delusion, retard.
the 2 are not mutually exclusive. A big part of the economical boost that trump is getting are markets anticipating that he will succeed in his goals of pressuring countries like china into less unilateral trade agreements.
People are betting their money with the US and against china because they believe that they will reap the benefits in the future, not necessarily because the current environment is a healthy one for trade.
The fact that anyone would even consider the possibility of it being true reflects poorly on Trump's character. Not a very good troll.
Replace "Trump" with "Obama" in that image and read it back. Can you imagine anyone falling for it? I can't.
Does trump get surprised when the neocons he surrounded himself with disagree with his detente?
Trump’s pretty aware that his tariffs are about to fuck the economy and hit his supporters the hardest. China’s response tariffs are a lot smarter and actually aimed at his supporters (who would probably lose their factory jobs whether China retaliated or not, because Trump taxes parts and materials, not consumer goods).
That’s why he tweeted about the Fed. Trump’s secret to political longevity is always looking for another scapegoat and playing off Alex jones-tier conspiracy theories. There’s always a new one for him to dredge up.
He appointed this guy to the Fed btw, and his policy of slowly raising interest rates is good.
t. actual risk analyst in a large bank
The only logical reason to me is that Russians are blackmailing him with something. Being Putin's bootlicker is not a popular politics winning him votes and yet he is so insistent on it.
NOOOOOOO....THEY CAN"T DO THAT!
Trump must stay until 2024
Also I think it’s weird that Trumptards screech so hard about the Mueller investigation.
Mueller’s investigation is moving several times faster and producing more results than any presidential probe, ever.
5 guilty pleas and counting.
Trumptards don’t care about honesty, or the economy, or the planet. They just want their guy to win.
If they have to display embarrassing ignorance of the legal system while they’re at it, they don’t mind.
Are you (like everyone else) predicting a recession?
If a recession comes, he could (and probably will) use the trade deals and FED stuff to blame them for job losses
What's the talk around the office regarding Trump?
nice larp
This desu
t. has never seen the gorilla channel
Finally it's the end of Dmbrumnbf campaign.
do you understand the irony of the picture you just posted.
think for a minute of why "investigation" is in quotes in the above 3
I’ve never heard anyone predict a recession. But I can tell you right now with 100% certainty, that if you tax the hell out of parts and materials that factories need to produce things, it will become harder to produce things here and easier to produce them elsewhere. And those factory workers who voted for them will lose their jobs.
I genuinely do not know why he taxes primary and intermediate goods instead of consumer goods (only 1% of the tariffs so far), but all I can guess is he didn’t think. I’ve never heard any explanation for it but I don’t think trump supporters even know what his tariffs were.
>The fact that i’m stupid enough to believe any accusation made against you no matter how dumb they are reflects poorly upon you
No. This is just awful reasoning
It actually helps Trump because if you literally watch gorillas fighting and sell country to Russians while getting only minor backslash, then you can easily do less controversial things with no backslash at all.
My bank actually releases reports saying “if trump does this it’ll be bad” (which surprised me) and then trump does it. We try not to get overtly political but when you’re in the business of writing loans to real estate developers, and the cost of construction goes up because trump just taxed the hell out of lumber and steel, you can’t avoid it.
If you want to know what the attitude at the office regarding trump is, picture being a white-collar Republican with a technical degree having to dish out reports saying “this thing the Republican President did sucks.” They're cringing.
80% support out of what, the 30% of american population that votes republican on every election? that doesn't get you a second term
Why the onion is stealing 4chain jokes?
politics.theonion.com
Good
Maybe that'll make you kike fucks think twice before blowing up the global economy again
True. It seems like he's doing everything to please those 30% though. That's the crazy part.
>This is a proof that libtards would believe anything fake in the media
But people are immediately questioning the legitimacy of this?
Theses retards did the exact opposite, bipartisanship.
frankly speaking the only way for him to win a second term is if the democrats completely shit the bed once more by ending up with a far-left (in american politics) candidate in the mould of sanders and if he can postpone the upcoming recession far into his second term
so far things aren't looking that good, the republicans already tried bribing themselves the election with generous tax cuts but only 27% percent of americans think it was a good idea while 36% think it was a bad idea
In a “generic ballot” Democrats are heavily favored in the midterms (this is a collection of polls). But no one’s optimistic about Republicans losing in the midterms because districts are drawn in a way to favor GOP (gerrymandering).
What’s funny is Republicans in 3 states have actually asked Trump not to endorse them because he’s so unpopular. He gave a surprise endorsement for Georgia governor and they were furious.
I believe the Democrats will gain slightly in November due to record-high turnout. I also think they’ll take 5-7 GOP governor positions and the governor is very powerful in America.
>Absolute delusional.
Says the burger with the Quisling VPN.
When Trump does cringe-inducing things like this, what happens is he doesn’t drop much in the polls, but Republican voters stop turning out and Democrat voters get really fired up.
For example he endorsed Roy Moore in Alabama, and people got so pissed we voted a Democrat into the senate.
I live in Alabama and couldn’t believe it. This is one of the most republican states in the nation. Pollsters have been incredibly conservative since the 2016 election, but Dems have consistently grown in voter turnout since Trump. The black vote can vary a lot and heavily influence elections when they do vote.
I’ve noticed Dems heavily changed their strategy after 2016. Dems beat the hell out of republicans by putting forth more moderate candidates in the special elections.
i actually went through the list of current US governors last night and was genuinely surprised how few democrats there were, although quite a lot of the republican governors seem to be popular even among democrat voters
do governors often partake in national politics? i've only seen some headlines about the governor of new york offering support for the mueller investigation but otherwise you never really hear from them
The left will do everything they can to save Trump once they realize what would happen with President Pence
>Dems beat the hell out of republicans by putting forth more moderate candidates in the special elections.
Comrade Sanders to the rescue touring America with that socialist girl to ensure the Red Wave.
>Red Wave
Let's hope and pray, comrade.
SSA soon
nothing would happen with pence though, he's as deep state as it gets and won't rock the boat
>due to record-high turnout
Don't get your hopes up. I spent half the fall in '16 registering people on my campus and we still had shit turnout. Best part was I'm in Michigan.
>confronted Trump
wow, this means they asked him stuff
it means nothing you retard, are you the same one that starts POLITICS threads here every day?
Excuse my ignorance but how does it work exactly? You have to register in order to vote? Will you not be able to vote if you show up on election day without registering beforehand?
It's been a republican strategy for decades to corner state legislative seats, hence why you'll see almost every state with a republican governor/congress even if they vote blue in federal elections.
Most of it's due to their usual schemes, i.e. drawing districts lines and not providing adequate polling places for poorer/more dem heavy areas, but the second biggest factor is that most people just don't give a shit about local or even state government, even when it directly impacts them.
Governors don’t influence national politics much. But they have a very big influence on each state. In several cases they just Institute laws that oppose federal law like marijuana and the federal government does nothing.
A governor can introduce bills and veto bills like a state president, but with some more power.
Some are predicting 9 GOP governors losing their seat, which sounds radical, but it wouldn’t surprise me if trump was in the middle of court.
However all republicans are ignoring the fact that the House is most definitely going to Dems. And with control of the House comes 21 subpoena-wielding committees which the president can’t veto. If you think the Mueller investigation hasn’t done a lot wait until there are several more simultaneous investigations. And that’s totally feasible.
>You have to register in order to vote? Will you not be able to vote if you show up on election day without registering beforehand?
Yes and yes. I'll let you fill in the rest.
fun times ahead
what's the usual voting percentage in murrican elections? here presidential elections usually have around 70%, parliament around 65%, municipal elections 55% and european parliament only around 40%
>Frenchman
>calling us yanks
The Brits really did win a culture war over you guys huh?
Gorillas are incredibly important, Juan. I can't believe you would even question their critical importance, shame on you
>America is currently flourishing
[Citation needed]
Then it was also flourishing under Obama.
as opposed to being literally washed with novichok and dying on a bench?
There’s so much wrong with this post it is confirmed from a Jow Forumstard
The yuan is 5% stronger than it was at the start of Trump’s admin.
Hello boomer take your pills
>It has been increasing for years now.
Yes, but you have to look at it in 2 phases.
In 2006, in the face of Russian military buildup (2 years before they invaded Georgia), NATO met at a summit and collectively agreed to pay 2% of GDP as a target. Albeit, there was no timetable.
By 2014, a summit was convened again, and it was discovered that despite the 2006 summit goal there were FEWER members paying 2% than 8 years prior. This is when the 2024 goal was established as a timetable. As of 2017 only 5 countries in NATO of 28 members were paying the 2% (to be fair, with quite a lot of them close, and to be doubly fair, France recently rejoined so I'm willing to turn a blind eye as they get re-integrated): USA, UK, Greece, Estonia, Poland. Three years in to the 2024 timetable version, and only five. Come the fuck on.
Granted, I do not think Trump understands how this target works since he calls it a "budget" and demanded an "invoice" from Merkel, so he doesn't understand the situation well enough to comment. NATO does need fixing, it does not need dismantling, and it needs more burden-sharing amongst its neighbors (unless you really, actually, want the USA to be the world police.) We would like to cut our military and pay for or expand our social welfare. More budget would help significantly, although not solve the whole problem since our healthcare system is inefficient. But we have to start somewhere, and that somewhere should be de-escalating our military budget from 4% to 2% and asking Europe and Canada to jump from on-average 1% to 2%.
Powell is one of the few fucking people in our government who seems to understand a.) what's going on and b.) reasonable routes to fix that
Trump might have his heart in the right place in some areas, but he is so severely incompetent, it hurts.
great now the R*ssians want to poison me with pills
What’s funny is that by objective standards, financial conditions are easier today than in January 2017.
Inflation of 3% versus Fed of 2%.
Jan 2017 - inflation at 1.5% and Fed at 1%.
>The yuan is 5% stronger than it was
Which is precisely the opposite of what they want. Strong currency = weak export market. The Germans know this too, which is why they fight tooth and nail to oppress Italians and Greeks. The Euro is their golden parachute to make their exports extremely lucrative.
China will have to start looking to even poorer countries like Bangladesh and African nations to start exporting their jobs. But will Chinese citizens tolerate hollowing out the manufacturing base? That increases unemployment severely, just like how the USA got hollowed out and fucked. And China's economy right now is just a ponzi scheme of debt, so it can tip over with a stiff breeze. See this article, it's really quite frightening (moreso for my country because we are far more highly coupled together than Chile-China)
