There were less than 150 members in a tribe, so you actually knew everyone. Wars were less bloody because tribe members dying represented a larger percentage loss to the tribe. You were also sending people you actually knew to the fight, not "other peoples kids" like today. Since population densities were low, you could just leave if another tribe was causing problems. Intra-tribe crime was low because, again, you probably personally knew the victim.
Obesity was practically nonexistent. Disease was unlikely because of low population density (the truly deadly diseases for Native Americans were brought by Europeans). Life expectancy was still between 50 and 70. Strong cultures were maintained for centuries. People lived in partnership with nature instead of in dominance over nature. There were a lot of benefits.
I have a hard time believing these people were really worse off than the people of today, who slave away for the benefit of people who they will never meet and under circumstances that are completely divorced from those that we evolved under (i.e., sitting at a desk in a windowless cubicle for 8+ hours a day eating shit for food).

income is a poor measure of economic health compared to wealth for obvious reasons (income is much more volatile than wealth is and wealth can be used to accrue more wealth outside of income e.g. investments/leverage) also this doesn't account for the larger amount of euro income that goes into taxes to fund the services and infrastructure to serve the people rather than the 3rd world level access to services, healthcare etc that people in the US have

Just looked it up. The fist rule is that if you receive 100% before taxes, then the employer pays 130%. And afterwards taxes 30+% get subtracted.
So we work 350 hours more? That's like an 1 - 1.5 hr longer every day? wtf I work 40 hours a week. Do you work 35 house a week, 7 hours a day? Or you take more days off.
