Where ever in Europe takes me after I spend a year traveling the world. Currently living st home to help my mom renovate her house to sell. I grinded for 100hrs a week to sell and pay all my debt off. Saving at some shitty job that I can walk to. But have no bills and downgraded to a flip phone to cut costs even more. Mom doesn’t charge rent, pays for all utilities, and I have time to learn Finnish and coding, before I do this Dev Bootcamp off my GI Bill out in Seattle. Preferably Czech, Finland or Estonia. But I’m saving bank and hoping for around 25k in the bank and job prospects(since I can live off any wage with no debt, and am pretty minimalist; living out of the same backup I was touring Europe with until,a few weeks ago) by this time next week. But if I go back out to Seattle and get a serving job.. I think I can hit 30-35 realistically. I have ties in Europe now, even though I know every Finn on here is going to tell me to fuck off, they don’t want me.

I don’t like the fake niceness in America and they don’t have time to say 2 words to you half the time which is a nice change of pace. However, when you want to be social, and go to social areas, they’re quite social and genuine. Really nice people, don’t shove whatever the topic is down your throat. They actually listen, wait until you’re done speaking, evaluate and respond. Don’t just wait for the next oppprtunity to talk, or gloss over because they thought of some,thing they want to say, and whatever you’re saying is irrelevant until they get their opportunity. I could go on for days. Estonia was similar but lower cost of living, and slightly more outgoing and warm.
In Czech, Finland, and Estonia .. I just fit in .. idk how to say it other than that. Things just clicked for me. I have quite a few friendships in each, that I made quick. Which makes practicing Finnish easier when they help make sure I’m not butchering it every week. It felt more home-like than anywhere I’ve been in the world and just outright from the get. So I’m leaving.
