I was in Seattle for a few years after I got out of the Army.. well tac/fedway, then Portland the last year now I’m on the east coast where I grew up.
Fuck the east.
Looking forward to going back now that I’m debt free and can breathe/enjoy life.
I dated a Finn, beautiful as can be. I genuinely like the way the language sounds, and it challenges me every single day. When I’m frustrated learning something, more often than feeling like I get it, it helps keep my attention.
I visited I found them to be the best looking women I’ve seen. I love their strong cheek bones lol. Plus at 6’5 all their giants blondes are great.
I don’t like the fake niceness in America and they don’t have time to say 2 words to you half the time which is a nice change of pace. However, when you want to be social, and go to social areas, they’re quite social and genuine. Really nice people, don’t shove whatever the topic is down your throat. They actually listen, wait until you’re done speaking, evaluate and respond. Don’t just wait for the next oppprtunity to talk, or gloss over because they thought of some,thing they want to say, and whatever you’re saying is irrelevant until they get their opportunity. I could go on for days. Estonia was similar but lower cost of living, and slightly more outgoing and warm.
In Czech, Finland, and Estonia .. I just fit in .. idk how to say it other than that. Things just clicked for me. I have quite a few friendships in each, that I made quick. Which makes practicing Finnish easier when they help make sure I’m not butchering it every week. It felt more home-like than anywhere I’ve been in the world and just outright from the get. So I’m leaving.

Australia drowned out it's own culture to adopt whatever America is pushing for some reason and I hate it. You look back at the 80s and 90s and there were Australian made TV shows and music dominating then they just disappeared. I'm a wog and I still hate that it happened.
Also, the segregation in Sydney is way too real. All the international Asians stick to their international Asian buddies, domestic Asians stick to domestic Asians, bogan Aussies stick to bogan Aussies, middle class Aussies stick to themselves and so do middle easterns. It puts European wogs like myself in an awkward place, where there aren't enough of us to stick to each other but you can't be friends with a lot of people cause they're in their own ethnic group of friends. So your friends end up being other random european wogs which is alright. And it's not that bad cause everyone is still friendly to each other (except middle class Aussies are cunts), but still, there's no common culture to bond over.
Quite a bit of this applies as well. Also, I'm gonna be stuck with my parents until I'm 35 with how expensive it is to live anywhere in this city, even in a shithole suburb in the west.
