Has trusting Jow Forums helped or hurt you?

I'll rephrase the question since I've been on Jow Forums boards since 2007ish.

Trusting Jow Forums on the macro has gotten me here, which is incredible as I'm at a level of wealth my family has never achieved. But the past 14 years of /b then /pol then /x then /biz were a psychological, informational, and mental battleground. Lots of short term stressors and thoughts and ideas which alienate one from the hive mind general population.
Learned a lot of skills though, and like I said, life is on another level.

I never listen to biz. The just shill ponzi scheme meme coins like link and Hot.

How do you independently figure out which coins are good or not? Basically, how do I do research on a coin? What do I look for?
