Nah, we used to have highways. Then we were able to make sure everything someone will ever need is within 40 minutes cycling. Now no one needs a car because using a car within a city will only fuck up the air and create fucking traffic jams. We are able to have some of the highest standards of living by fucking using our legs to go to places and get our stuff.

I'm a NEET living with my parents so I don't know, but I think 5,000NIS a month for a low end apartment, but when I say costs of living I mean stuff like food and shopping.
Also ignore the dumb memes, Tel Aviv is the best.

He probably tried to get past you before you crossed. But just 2 thing to remember about Amsterdam. 1. It's even hard for dutch people outside of Amsterdam to cycle here so it's not smart to rent a bike here if you don't cycle at home. And 2. Near collisions are so frequent in this buss city that we rely on the fact that you can judge if you have to stop within a millisecond. Tourists can't do that so they get scooped up.

I mean everything. Not shopping that's 5 minutes walk everywhere. I mean hospitals, police, universities, Government buildings, Festivals, Museums, Swimming pools, Farms.

Here it's multiplied by three. One unit for the beer, one for the taxes and one for profit.

40 minutes is a lot. I lived extremely rural by Dutch standards and had to cycle 30 minutes to school.
I would say 30 minutes is what we consider the maximum amount of time you should cycle one way.

The prices of beer are not funny anymore in the Netherlands. I mean the memes used to be about craft beer which is reasonable, but now a little glass of Heineken can cost in excess of €2.50 and if you want some nachos with cheese and salsa for snacks it’s €6.50

Those are tourist prices, Locals generally find a nice out of the way bar where we get a nice large beer for €2 max.

They sell beer of very reasonable quality less than 300m away for €1/L, it's a very economical way of destroying your liver.
