Aren't Italian and Spanish also top tier? French I've heard is just expensive because of the high labour costs.

Throughout the rest of the world French wine is known as nothing but the name

>muh microbreweries

It's like comparing Nutella to budget choco spread.

This

This is what we do to non-French wine here.

>non french """"wine"""" pretending to be french wine

Spanish sometimes, but I would sell my investment Burgundy wines in a heatbeat to drink a quality Italian Barbarossa. French wine has history and provenance behind it, it isn't the best. It is a good investment though (about 5000% in 20 years)

Do you drink it from the ground so it tastes like its French?

>french

Is it white?

French wines in general are great, but grossly overpriced

French wine is just rebranded and overpriced Spanish wine, except for those few expensive wines that no one buys unless millionaire.

I can't think of a more boomer thing to do than to be a wine drinker.

Are we still talking about tasteful wine or drunk juice?

I still remember that time when French winemakers were protesting because the Tour de France decide to use superior Chilean wine as sponsor instead of the inferior and pathetic French "wine"

Funny you say that but a lot of French restaurants import Slovenian wine cuz it's superior to their own

Georgia has the oldest wine tradition in the world.

Good post.
There is excellent white wine from Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia. I like furmint (šipon) particularly. But prefer french reds.
