Overall Chinese media isolation is exaggerated. If you want to find way to some information, I bet you'll find it.
Also most of people everywhere the same, they don't care and use public opinions. In China it's communist party make this opinion, people just follow it. In Western world it's media corporations make public opinion. Western world is the same as China - if you will start to have alternative opinion you will be rogue for the public.
