I'm going to Georgia soon for 2 weeks, anyone have advice on what cities and national parks to visit? I like to see nice cities but I also want a spend a couple of days doing some hiking, but I'm travelling with a woman who has never hiked so nothing too extreme please.
p.s. - Fuck the Americans for naming a state "Georgia" or alternatively fuck the English for not naming the country "Sakartvelo"
georgia is dangerous place if you are female or going with gf be awared they might rape ye/her so by0uy antirape panties
Charles Murphy
Do you enjoy living in Kazakhstan, Ivan?
Daniel Anderson
Are you actually Georgian? I don't see any other reason to be this retarded.
Ryder Martin
Georgia (state) is named for st. George the dragon slayer
Ethan Brooks
No, but I don't want Russian butthurt bitches in my thread like you and that guy in Kazakhstan (who is Russian, make no mistake). Last time I made this thread it was basically only butthurt Russian posts, and a few years back while I went in Ukraine I also got Russian butthurt in every thread I made. I just want a thread about travelling, not butthurtness.
Russia murder rate: 10.82 USA murder rate: 5.35 UK murder rate: 1.20 Georgia murder rate: 0.99
really makes me think

howdy captain
Tbilisi is still a really good city, I would say my favorite cities are batumi and poti
Oliver Ortiz
So you liked Batumi? A guy I met told me Batumi was not really anything special, especially for people used to coastal cities, it was only known back in Soviet days because it is warm and tropical for Soviet standards. But you liked it?
Zachary Wilson
>All the Georgians working in Russia.
If you ever watch some news about "muh Russian mafia in Europe", you'll see nothing but a bunch of Georgian surnames.
Aaron Nelson
Well, I suppose it depends what you're looking for! As a big fan of Maritime culture myself, Batumi was quite enjoyable. If you're after history, Mtskheta and Kutaisi are really wonderful.
William Gray
Okay but I'm going to Georgia, not Russia. So I don't see what this has to do with the OP. *dabs*
>one Russkan posts article of murder >another Russian posts an article about the exact same murder
This is why I can't fucking stand you faggots. You are all so goddamn butthurt about Georgia and Ukraine.
Jaxson Wood
Went to Georgia a while ago it was very nice, and I also went with 2 girls
Tbilisi is a picturesque city, it's very nice and quite westerner friendly. We also went to gudauri (where that broken ski lift video was filmed), there's nice hiking there in the summer apparently but it took a while to drive there. Taxis are insanely cheap though and people are very friendly and will guide you.
We also went to a region with all those weird tower things and that ethnic group (I forget what it's called), it was interesting but like a 10 hour drive so maybe don't bother if you're short on time. Also I hope you can speak a bit of Russian because the English there is quite bad. Happy to answer any question
Josiah Cook
Just ask natives when you come here, Georgia and it's people are nice if you are. And don't be an white pussy, be a man.
Luis Moore
>This is why I can't fucking stand you faggots Why would you give a fuck?
Cameron Cruz
Thanks for the post bud. The person I'm travelling with speaks Russian quite well so that will not be a proble. I am a man my nigga Because it's not good to be butthurt, be happy, dont hate other countries because of politics
Angel Anderson
>dont hate other countries because of politics You haet Rusdia though
Christian Garcia
That's good, same situation as me I can't speak a word of anything aside from English. Also I hope you like bread and cheese/egg because you'll pretty much be eating it for breakfast lunch and dinner for the entire time you're there. My top tip, buy fruit whenever you see it. I don't know how Georgians survive just by eating khachapuri
Also that other place I went was called svaneti. Went to other places on the way but those were the main destinations, there's lots of churches and friendly people and endless homemade (disgusting) wine, you'll have a lovely time
Nolan Walker
Not Russia, but butthurt Russians on Jow Forums thanks bro, I love cheese and eggs also cheese tends to give me the shitters (I' taking loperamide with me) and I'll definitely try the wine there
Wyatt Mitchell
We don't eat khachapuri that often actually, last time I ate it was about a month ago. It's just a convenient fast food if you are in a rush.
Xavier Rivera
ayyy my dude! what is the best place in georgia for nice mountains and what is the best place for good forests?
Gavin Green
Americans didn't name Georgia "Georgia", British people did after the King George II. Americans just live there.
Right now I'm thinking Kazbegi for mountains and Borjomi for forests
Grayson Miller
soxumi, tsxinvali, pankisi, marneuli the list goes on...
Andrew Rodriguez
Hey guy, Nice mountains are all over this place, it depends where you plan to go. If you're are going to Tbilisi, then Kazbegi is a good choice, as it is not very far from there. As for the forests, yes, Borjomi is a pretty good choice, I would suggest Abastumani (close to Borjomi) as well.
Gabriel Watson
thanks bro's, I think I have a nice list now
Brayden Morales
kek, don't try to go to any of the towns here , the first two are occupied by Russia, 3rd and 4th are Chechen/Kist and Azeri muslim towns.
Kevin Wood
Lold
Xavier Jackson
yeah I recognised pankisi lmao, figured he was joking
You can also go to Kakheti region (easternmost part of Georgia) that has a huge valley between two mountain ranges and lots of vineyards, check out Sighnaghi town, which overlooks that valley, or stay at the Hotel near Kvareli lake and hike in Lagodekhi National Park (both are in a steep forest). Or, if you go to the western part of Georgia, you can check out Okatse Canyon, Samegrelo National Park and hike in Svaneti region.
Cameron Gomez
Kazbegi, Mtskheta, Kakheti are nice place to visit. Svaneti and Racha are top tier as well.
Also Svans are subgroup of Georgians, who speak weirdass archaic Georgian language. They have built lots of fortification buildings throughout history
