Look at any map which shows the world after the ice caps melt, a few countries like Denmark, the Netherlands and Pacific islands are screwed, but most of the rest looks exactly the same.

Overpopulation is just a big issue in the Randstad. I think we should increase the popularity of the cities in other parts of the Netherlands (like Vlissingen, Zwolle, Kampen, Deventer, Arnhem, Terneuzen) rather than increase the number of houses in the Randstad

You sound like one of these VVD scum that wants to push their problems aside to other parts of the country. What you're saying isn't the solution. The Dutch worker is getting poorer since ZZP'ers and migrant workers are replacing most jobs which is making it harder to get trough as a lower class citizen. This vicious circle is barely going upwards lately and accepting overpopulation is not the solution.

The overpopulation in the Randstad is caused by youth from non-Randstad areas leaving their own province for Utrecht, Noord-Holland and Zuid-Holland. We need bigger & more universities in the east, more quality of housing, more tourism, more jobs etc. Having 80% of the Dutch living in Holland is not the solution.

I agree with you that we don't need more migrants, or at least the kind of migrants we're getting now. In the end they'll make us poorer and create even more problems, but how do you think we should fight overpopulation?

This is what I mean. There is so much potential is the cities in the east. People like to live close to historical places and that's why I referred to cities such as Vlissingen, Zwolle, Kampen, Deventer, Arnhem, Terneuzen which are still quite empty. We should increase the population there by densify built area. Harderwijk and Franeker used to be one of the most important cities of the Netherlands, but almost nobody knows where they are nowadays.

I don't want to be ''le white nationalist'' or anything but it's mostly people with a non-European migration background making a lot of children so even trying to combat it would been seen as ''racist''. You can simply decrease it by lowering the seasonal kinderbijslag with €200 specifically in neighbourhoods where birth rates are higher than 2.5.

The thing is people making more children there is no problem since there is already a lot of empty housing in such towns. It would be better to promote people that already live in those towns to make more children instead of promoting migration to other areas.

And to keep the children there once they are grown up. That's definitely not the case now, because most of those children change their towns for the big cities in the west once they finished high school.

That's the largest problem, living local is being looked down upon. You can still create subcultures in your local area instead of not even trying to make one and moving to the randstad to participate in one instead. That's the largest problem, there is no social cohesion anymore and people are fine with it as long they work all week and party in the weekend.

It's not really looked down upon (not up here anyways), but local living here means you have to drive 10 minutes for a supermarket and 20 for other stores.
Also internet is often a shit, and when you have/want children there are no schools around.
